Some evidence suggests that testosterone can increase attentional orientation toward biologically relevant stimuli and increase sustained attention during goal-oriented behaviors. While rare irregular distractors often capture attention involuntarily and distract us away from the task at hand, we hypothesized that testosterone might (1) facilitate attentional orientation to novel distractors that are of potential behavioral relevance and (2) inhibit information processing of distractors that are irrelevant to the task. This paper examines the changes in medical restratification brought about by the introduction of inter-organisational care networks. The study focuses in particular on the social position of doctors and the contingencies that enable or constrain intra-professional hierarchies across inter-organisational boundaries. This ethnographic study of major system change within the English healthcare system finds that a relatively small group of 'multiplex' elites have significant influence in both national policy-making and regional service re-configuration based upon multiple sources of clinical and reputational capital. Subsequent forms of restratification at the regional level are found to mirror such status markers whilst also revealing important local contingencies, especially where professional markers of distinction are coupled with and dependent upon organisational markers of distinction.In the present work, laccase was successfully immobilized in peroxidase mimicking magnetic metal organic frameworks (MMOFs) within 30 min using a facile approach. The integration of magnetic nanoparticles during synthesis significantly eases the separation of prepared biocatalyst using an external magnet. The immobilization of laccase was confirmed using different characterization techniques. The laccase@MMOFs found spherical in nature with an average particle size below 100 nm. The synthesized laccase embedded framework exhibits supermagnetic property with the saturation magnetization (Ms) of 34.12 emu/gm. The prepared bio-metallic frameworks maintain high surface area and thermal stability. The laccase@MMOFs was successfully exploited for the degradation of industrial dyes in batch and continuous mode with an average degradation efficiency of 95%. (PVL, hyper-accumulator biomass) was performed with the recycled aqueous phase as reaction medium, aiming to dispose the biomass with high water content and produce high-quality bio-oil. After three times of aqueous phase recycling at 275 °C, 30 min, the bio-oil yield increased to 30.32% from 21.54% and the higher heating value (HHV, 28.51 MJ/kg) of the bio-oil was higher than that of the bio-oil from HTL with pure water (26.80 MJ/kg). The main compounds detected in bio-oils were phenols, ketones, hydrocarbons, and aldehydes. Acetic acid (17.21-24.77 mg/mL) was dominant in the aqueous phases, resulting in the low pH (4.31-4.89). The heavy metals (Cu, Pb, Zn, Cd) mainly remained in bio-char whereas As was transferred to aqueous phase. Thus, HTL by aqueous phase recycling could be a promising way for PVL treatment to obtain high-quality bio-oil and arsenic recovery.Using vertical flow constructed wetlands (VFCWs) with different influent wastewater volumes and feeding modes, this study aimed to identify the optimal operation strategy for dry seasons under wastewater deficiency. Using half the influent wastewater volume (HIWV) did not necessarily improve the removal efficiency (RE) of the chemical oxygen demand (COD), NH4+-N, NO3--N and total nitrogen. In the HIWV treatments, intermittent resting did not result in significantly different pollutant REs, whereas strategies involving partial saturation and prolongation of the hydraulic retention time (HRT) slightly decreased the pollutant REs compared with those obtained in the constant feeding mode. Of the three HIWV strategies, the intermittent resting mode achieved the highest anaerobic ammoxidation, the dominant pathway for nitrogen removal in the systems, and thus stimulated nitrogen transformation. The intermittent resting mode forms part of the recommended operation strategy for VFCWs in dry seasons with wastewater deficiency.
