Mantera yang dapat mengalahkan Boggart adalah Riddikulus. Mantera ini sebenarnya tidak memusnahkan Boggart sepenuhnya, tetapi mengubah mereka menjadi bentuk yang lebih komikal sehingga memancing tawa dari korbannya dan bisa mengalahkan mereka.
