Bedside Cot Reviews
A bedside crib, sometimes referred to as a baby bassinet is placed next to your bed so that you can safely look after your infant during night feeds and nappy-changings without having to leave your bed. They also help in developing independence as your child becomes more confident in their own sleep space.
The Joie Roomie Glide
The Joie Roomie Glide crib is an ideal bedside crib that allows parents to stay with their infant while ensuring that they are resting safely. The smooth gliding motion of the Joie Roomie Glide can help soothe your baby to sleep and its unique features allow you to monitor your baby without leaving the bed.
The cot's sliding side panel lifts and lowers with the touch of a button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a crying baby in the night. It also has 11 height adjustments that let it fit the mattress of almost any size bed and it has adjustable folding feet to ensure that it is at the right height.
The cot is padded, has mesh sides that allow for more ventilation, and its mattress is made of high-density foam to provide extra protection. It's also washable so that you can keep it clean. Additionally, it comes with a fitted sheet that is suitable for the cot.
In contrast to other cribs for bedside use unlike other cribs for bedside use, the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans, thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a standalone crib even when it's not attached to the bed. It is packed with amazing features designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.
The most important thing to keep in mind is that although this crib is ideal for newborns, it won't last long once your baby turns six months old, and you'll need to invest in larger cots. Overall, Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide crib was an excellent purchase. bedside cot sale loved its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna felt was a reasonable cost for a cot that has the most advanced features. She liked the way it looked in her bedroom and believed the grey color would work in the majority of modern homes. She also mentioned that it's not a good idea to rock a baby in the early years because it can create an unfavourable sleep pattern for later.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to ensure a good night's rest. It has a drop-side rail that is able to be easily lifted to feed your child at night without disturbing them or getting out of the bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light and easy to move around during naps or when traveling.
We love the fact that it's made of soft materials that have mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and ease of use. It is available in charcoal or oak with a variety of melange fabrics that blend with most decor styles. Anna found it to be sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs firmly snapping into the bed and the zips secured to ensure baby safety. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and did not require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer service number should you have any problems.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to connect to your bed using a stay-in-place connector system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to alleviate reflux or congestion in babies. It's also machine-washable, a necessity for all the dribbles and vomit that comes with having a newborn!
If you're looking to keep your baby close to you during the first six months as they're learning to sleep independently and independently, the CoZee is a fantastic option as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table and toddler bed. With the addition of a sofa-bed extension kit, it can be transformed into an crib. It isn't able to feed your baby, or magically sleep them it will gently rock them until they go off!
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive options. It does have numerous great features. It's designed to function as a side sleeper or a standalone crib and is suitable from birth up to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel thanks to a new mechanism. It's also more flexible than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and retractable legs for a secure installation underneath any bed.
Our testers loved the easy access to the side panel, which can be moved up and down by pressing a button. bedside cot used was a huge benefit during night time feeds, as it meant they could easily reach inside and take their baby away without disturbing them up.
It is possible to lower the side panel by itself but this is not recommended because it increases the chance that your child will be thrown out of the cot. The safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place if it's attached correctly to the parent's mattress. This feature is great for peace of mind if you are breastfeeding and need frequent night feeds.
Telescopic legs enable the Chicco Next2Me Magic to be used with any bed, such as divan bases or beds with drawers. It also has tilting functions for reflux babies and a rocking feature to bring them back to sleep after eating. It's also very spacious and provides excellent ventilation due to its mesh sides.
The Next2Me Magic was easy to use and set up for our testers even with the lengthy instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers, but it's fairly portable and can be moved from room to room with ease. It's small enough to fit into its travel bag when not in use which is an advantage if you need to transport it. The only issue our test subjects found was that the side panel didn't flex as much compared to other models. This made it a bit harder to observe your baby from the bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air bedside crib is a great option for a crib that can grow with your child. Designed to be a co-sleeping bassinet that is attached to your bed and convert into a stylish cot when your baby is ready. It's perfect for night-time feeds and fostering a bond with your infant.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and breathable, hypo-allergenic airflow mattress increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. bedside cot sale can help to ease colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby throughout the night.
The kit for conversion to cot (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us around an hour to assemble, and was reasonably straightforward. The only issue with the instructions was that some images were not captioned. This made it difficult to follow. Overall, the process was simple and the materials used were of high quality.
The Shnuggle Air is a great option for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had C-sections. It allows them to reach out and touch their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's also great for parents who want to avoid the hassle of getting in and out of a traditional cot, or placing their baby down to sleep.
In our tests, we found the gliding motion of the next-to-me crib to be extremely useful in helping babies fall asleep after feedings at night and midday. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a huge selling point for our exhausted test moms. Although it doesn't rock, or have additional features like an audio system, the Joie Roomie Slide's sleek design and functionality are a welcome addition to our top bedside crib reviews.
