Real Driver's Licenses

The Real Driver's Licenses is a new form of identification that is compliant with the federal Real ID Act. The act set minimum security standards for state-issued drivers' licenses permits, ID cards and permits and also prohibits federal agencies such as the Transportation Security Administration from accepting any card that doesn't conform to these standards. In October of 2017, DMV began issuing Real IDs. The IDs are different than standard driver's licences and include an image of an engraved.
