In this study, we sequenced the complete chloroplast genome of Polygonatum odoratum with Illumina sequencing technology. The complete chloroplast genome length is 156,082bp, shows a typical tetrad structure, which manifests as one large and one small single copy (LSC and SSC) regions of 85,009 and 18,513bp, isolated by two inverted repeat regions (IRs) of 26,280bp. This study annotated altogether 131 unique genes, consisting of 86 protein-encoding genes, 8 rRNA and 38tRNA. According to the maximum likelihood phylogenetic tree based on 8 complete chloroplast genomes, P. odoratum shows close association with additional Maianthemum genus. The chloroplast genome-wide for P. odoratum would help to conserving the precious natural populations.Euphorbia maculata is an important medicinal plants of the family Euphorbiaceae. The complete chloroplast genome reported here is 162,685 bp in length, including two inverted repeats (IRs) of 26,822 bp, which are separated by a large single-copy (LSC) and a small single-copy (SSC) of 90,514 bp and 18,527 bp, respectively. The whole chloroplast genome of E. maculata contains 111 genes, including 77 protein-coding genes, 4 transfer RNA, and 30 ribosome RNA. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that E. maculata is closely related to E. milii and E. tirucalli. In this study, the first complete mitochondrial genome of Chrysolina aeruginosa Fald was assembled and analyzed. The total length of this mitochondrial genome is 16,335 base pairs. It consists of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNAs, two ribosomal RNAs, and an AT-rich region. Phylogenomic analysis indicated that C. aeruginosa Fald is sister to Chrysodinopsis sp. This study provides new molecular data for the further taxonomic and phylogenetic studies of the Chrysomelidae of Coleoptera. The white peacock butterfly Anartia jatrophae saturata Staudinger, 1884 (Nymphalidae Nymphalinae Victorini), lives in the neotropics. Genome skimming with Illumina sequencing of A. jatrophae saturata allowed the assembly of a complete circular mitogenome of 15,297 bp, consisting of 81.4% AT nucleotides, 22 tRNAs, 13 protein-coding genes, two rRNAs, and a control region. Anartia jatrophae COX1 features an atypical start codon (CGA); ATP6, COX1, ND1, ND4, ND4L, ND5, and ND6 exhibit incomplete stop codons completed in the mRNA by the addition of 3' A residues. Contrary to previous phylogenetic hypotheses, phylogenetic reconstruction places A. jatrophae as sister to nymphalid tribe Nymphalini. This study analyzed the complete mitochondrial genome of the short barbeled grunter Hapalogenys nigripinnis (Accession number MT374064). The complete mitogenome was 16,476 bp long and included 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region. Nucleotide composition of the genome was A 28.70%, T27.46%, G 15.73%, and C 28.11%. All genes were encoded on the H-strand, except for the NADH dehydrogenase subunit (ND6) and 8 tRNA genes. When compared this sequence with the mitogenome of Chinese black grunt, Korean short barbeled grunter showed difference of 64 bp of nucleotide sequence in 20 genes. Phylogenetic tree was constructed using the neighbor-joining (NJ) method and showed the phylogenetic position of the short barbeled grunter in Korea.Paranemachilus genilepis (Zhu 1983) is a small and benthic loach species that mainly distributes in the Guangxi Province, China. To date, little was known about the genetic information of this species as no molecular sequence has been published. In this study, the complete mitochondrial genome of P. genilepis was reported using the Illumina MiSeq platform. The genome was 16,563 base pairs (bp) in length and its structure was identical to most genomes of bony fishes. Phylogenetic analyses supported two clades (I and II) among Nemacheilidae species and P. genilepis was sister to Oreonectes furcocaudalis. The complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Tropidophorus hangnam was sequenced from its paratype (GenBank accession no. MN977920). It was 16,777 bp in length with a base composition of 31.99% A, 29.49% C, 14.34% G, and 24.18% T, and a GC content of 43.83%. The genome includes 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and a control region (D loop). Most T. hangnam genes are located on the H strand, except for the ND6 gene and eight tRNA genes, which are located on the L strand. Phylogenetic analyses based on 13 PCGs indicated that T. hangnam is sister to the clade composed of the genera Scincella and Sphenomorphus. The newly sequenced T. hangnam mitogenome will provide basic data for further studies on the genetic diversity and molecular phylogenetic relationships of the genus Tropidophorus. We completed chloroplast genome of Douinia plicata (Lindb.) Konstant. & Vilnet., presenting morphological features including denticulate leaf margin, verrucose cuticle on base of leaves, and 80-100° keel angle with stem at the midleaf. It is 118,797 bp long (GC ratio is 33.9%) and has four subregions 81,142 bp of large single copy (31.9%) and 19,611 bp of small single copy (31.0%) regions are separated by 9,017 bp of inverted repeat (46.3%) regions including 130 genes (86 protein-coding genes, eight rRNAs, and 36 tRNAs). Phylogenetic trees show D. plicata is clustered with two Scapania species.Murraya paniculate, is traditionally used for management of gut, air way and cardiovascular disorders. In this study, we sequenced the complete chloroplast genome of M. paniculata based on next-generation sequencing and used the data to assess genomic resources. The chloroplast genome of M. paniculata is 160,280 bp in length consisting of large and small single-copy regions of length 87,605 and 18,609 bp, separated by two IR regions of 27,033 bp. The overall GC content was 38.61%. De novo assembly and annotation showed the presence of unique genes with 85 protein-coding genes, 29 tRNA genes, and eight rRNA genes. A maximum-likelihood phylogenomic analysis showed that M. paniculata was closely related to M. caloxylon.Miters including Mitra chinensis are important fishery resources in China. However, the phylogenetic and taxonomic studies in Mitridae have been limited. buy Lazertinib In this study, we report the first complete mitochondrial genome of M. chinensis. The mitogenome has 16,238 base pairs (66.9% A + T content) and is made up of a total of 37 genes (13 protein-coding, 22 transfer RNAs, and two ribosomal RNAs), plus a putative control region. This study will provide useful molecular resources for addressing taxonomic and evolutionary issues in Neogastropoda.
