I've been down this path before and it wasn't pretty. So now I'll just count down the hours and start googling "how to stop food poisoning" and hope that this adventure doesn't continue over the coming hours. We were curious to try this place as it seems many people are coming in. Their serving is small for their high prices and their presentation is sloppy compare to the Thai restaurant in Mt Druitt and Plumpton. There are RV sites for 21 feet and a few for 35 feet. The most accessible Hurricane Ridge viewpoint is at the Hurricane Ridge Olympic National Park Visitor Center.The view from the lower terrace is stunning. Children ages eight and under can go tubing/ sliding for free at the Small Children’s Snowplay Area west of the Visitor Center and parking lot. You need to bring your own tube or sled; sleds with runners are not allowed.

The natural beauty of the area can be explored on any of our trails. The eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula has loads of great trails around us in the Olympic National Park. Trailheads nearby include Big Creek, Mount Rose, Mount Ellinor, Dry Creek, Copper Creek, Wagonwheel Lake, Staircase Rapids, Big Log Camp, and Flapjack Lakes. Shi Shi Beach is an 8.8-mile round trip out-and-back hike on the northern Olympic Coast.
The region is made up of forests, mountains, rivers, beaches and deltas – and surrounded by sound and sea. This freshwater/saltwater park makes a perfect day or weekend trip. It can also serve as a base from which to explore the historic forts and charming small towns to the north, or the first night on a grand road trip around the peninsula. Near the campground and lodge, trails and steps descend about 40 ft. to the beach. There are several beaches, tide pools, scenic overlooks and trails to explore. The Kalaloch Creek Nature Trail is a mile-long walk through the forest along Kalaloch Creek, which drains into the ocean.

Keep an eye for deer, the northern spotted owl, elk, raccoon, and black bear. The Hoh rainforest is cool and damp, quiet, and it smells wonderful. To get here, it is a 1.6 mile one-way hike through a forest.
