Expelliarmus
Disarming Charm atau yang juga dikenal dengan nama lain Expelliarmus adalah mantra defensif yang memaksa pihak yang diserang untuk melepaskan apa pun yang dipegang pada saat itu.
Mantra ini juga dapat menimbulkan efek lain jika terdapat sekelompok orang yang menggunakannya untuk menyerang satu orang saja maka, kaki pihak yang diserang akan terangkat dan tubuhnya akan terlempar ke belakang dikarenakan kuatnya mantra yang dimunculkan oleh sekelompok orang yang menyerangnya tersebut.
Expelliarmus merupakan salah satu mantra yang mudah namun memiliki perlawanan yang kuat.

Mengenai 'masa lalu'-nya, tidak diketahui secara pasti siapa yang membuat mantra ini. Namun beberapa sejarahwan penyihir mengakui bahwa mantra ini bisa dibuat oleh merlin,Tetapi adapula yang mengatakan bahwa mantra Expelliarmus sudah digunakan secara luas di Madagaskar pada abad 11.
meskipun salah satu dari pengertian tersebut benar, fakta menyatakan bahwa mantra ini tidak begitu popularhingga tahun 1379, Elizabeth Smudgling yg mungkin penemu mantra ini—menurut opini Miranda Goshawk — digunakan saat kontes duel di Dartmoor. "Etimologi mantra ini diambil dari dua bahasa, yaitu bahasa Latin dan bahasa Inggris." ("expellere = mengeluarkan atau melepaskan arma = senjata; Expel = menyingkirkan armus = armis = dari lengan)
