The importance and validity of the study was analyzed. Some improvement actions are proposed, and the systematic implementation of this type of studies is recommended.Due to the need to transform psychiatric care and transcend from a model focused on clinical care towards a community model, Mentalmente Sanos (Mentally Healthy) emerges as an initiative from the academy under the teaching services agreement between the Universidad del Valle and the State Social Enterprises Health Network E.S.E Ladera. This support group, created in 2009 by people with mental disabilities who participate freely and voluntarily, promotes processes of social inclusion and social skills in everyday life. It convenes students and professors of Occupational therapy, Medicine and Psychiatry. Methodologically speaking, it is a space of joint construction based on the approach of the capacities and the community. Activities are planned and developed weekly ensuring the participation of all parties involved, taking into account their interests, concerns and capacities. buy SHR-3162 Mentalmente Sanos, besides enabling social inclusion processes and the implementation of a community approach, is an opportunity to reflect on the construction of the individual from a social model of disability and the importance of linking institutional actors to ensure the implementation of community care strategies.
To identify the most recent literature on electronic cigarettes (EC) available in the market, in order to characterize their composition, current use, health risks associated with their use, as well as their possible use as smoking cessation therapy. To generate a greater understanding of EC and their importance in the field of public health.
A literature review was performed in indexed databases using MeSH and DeCS terms, finding 55 articles that met the inclusion criteria and five additional reviews of companies or governmental bodies.
The diversity of the types and components of electronic cigarettes has increased awareness of their use. So far, the increase in EC consumption worldwide has led many organizations to issue concepts and review different types of studies that show evidence of a discrepancy between what is offered and what is presented. Consequently, it is clear that a definitive concept of their use cannot be issued.
The increase in the use of electronic cigarettes worldwide has triggered alarms on the regulation of contents, presentations, effects on health, and possible recommendations for their use, making it necessary to better review the issue in order to give a clear concept to the public.

A systematic review was conducted to know the contributions of social network analysis (SNA) to public health research (PHR).
The databases analyzed were Academic Search Complete, PubMed and MEDLINE. A total of 1 151 articles were processed, of which 361 met the inclusion criteria and make up the final sample.
The generic profiles of assessed papers are quantitative (84.5%) and cross-sectional (64.5%), and use conventional statistical procedures to test hypotheses (68.9%). Studies examining the role of networks as a risk factor or health protection (38%), epidemiological research (34.6%), and work analyzing systems that provide social and health care (24.4%) are noteworthy.
Remarkable differences among research were identified at the egocentric and sociocentric levels of analysis. Results are discussed in order to increase the effectiveness of PHR through SNA methods.

To evaluate psychosocial risks, occupational stress and burnout syndrome in university workers from a Venezuelan bioanalysis school.
Descriptive, cross-sectional study performed with a sample of 75 workers. The analysis of psychosocial risks, occupational stress and burnout syndrome was done using the CoPsoQ-istas21 methodology.
The main psychosocial risks were work rhythm (80.8%) and insecure working conditions (54.9%). The most unfavorable health situations included double presence (52.7%); the intermediate situations were related to role conflict (38.9%); and the most favorable situations were associated with recognition (98.6%) and vertical confidence (94.3%). Both occupational stress (3%) and burnout syndrome (5%) were observed in the most unfavorable situations. There were direct relationships between seniority and wage scale (r=0.361; p<0.001); between occupational stress and burnout syndrome (r=0.512; p<0.01); and between work satisfaction and self-perceived health status (r=0.485; p<0.01).
The description of positions and functions performed by workers should be analyzed and reinforced; moreover, staff performance indicators should be built and better mechanisms for work planning and systems of information should be established to help improve the School's managerial model.

This study sought to understand the health problems associated with the presence of lead and mercury in the water of the Bogotá River.
A mixed methods study was conducted using interviews, surveys and measurements of zinc protoporphyrin (ZPP) and mercury in blood from 172 individuals. Variables associated with the highest concentrations were identified, as well as the attributes of the cases with increased exposure by means of a qualitative comparative analysis.
Interviews reported that river pollution is associated with diseases, although direct exposure to water is rare. River water is widely used for irrigation of crops that are sold in other municipalities. Communities with greater exposure to river water are Tocaima and Girardot. The highest levels of ZPP were observed among those living in these municipalities, did activities at home and performed non-work activities using metals. Increased ZPP levels were associated with depression, nasal bleeding and loss of appetite. The highest concentrations of mercury were found in the inhabitants of Girardot, and were associated with sweating, disorientation, nausea and diarrhea.
