Ang II regulates RhoGDI1 stability and cell proliferation via SUMOylation. However, how Ang II regulates RhoGDI1 SUMOylation remains unknown. In this study, we focused on revealing the effects of E1 subunits (Aos1 and Uba2) on RhoGDI1 SUMOylation in HA-VSMC proliferation.
The expressions of Aos1, Uba2, and SUMO1 were suppressed by siRNA transfection. HA-VSMCs were treated with Ang II (100nM) for 24h. RhoGDI1 SUMOylation and ubiquitination were checked by co-immunoprecipitation. Cell proliferation was detected by EdU assay.
Uba2 or Aos1 suppression significantly inhibited Ang II-induced SUMO2/3 modification of RhoGDI1 and cell proliferation, while not affecting SUMO1 modification of RhoGDI1. In addition, Uba2 or Aos1 suppression promoted RhoGDI1 ubiquitination and degradation. These indicate that both Uba2 and Aos1 are necessary for SUMO2/3 modification of RhoGDI1 that participates in cell proliferation by regulating RhoGDI1 ubiquitination and stability. Moreover, SUMO1 suppression did not affect RhoGDI1 ubiquitination and degradation and cell proliferation in Ang II-induced VSMCs, suggesting that SUMO1 modification does not participate in RhoGDI1 stability and cell proliferation.
This study reveals the differences between SUMO2/3 and SUMO1 modification in regulating RhoGDI1 stability and Ang II-mediated cell proliferation. Schematic summary of roles of SUMO1 and SUMO2/3 modification of RhoGDI1 in regulating RhoGDI1 stability and cell proliferation in Ang II-treated HA-VSMCs.

The rough surface of KM-HSAC contains many irregular microspores. The EDS pattern confirmed the U(VI) adsorption on the KM-HSAC. A batch study experiment gave optimum results for U(VI) at pH 6, contact time of 160 min, initial U(VI) concentration of 155.56 mg/L and KM-HSAC dosage of 4 g/L, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 22.27 mg/g. The prediction performance of artificial neural network models was validated through the low values of statistical error (2.708 and 8.241 for RMSE of training and testing data, respectively) and the high determination coefficient value (0.987 and 0.906 for training and testing data, respectively). Experimental results suggest that KM-HSAC has a high potential for the removal of U(VI) from wastewater. The industrial production system can be divided into energy consumption (EC), wastewater treatment (WWT), and waste gas treatment (WGT) stages. Based on three stages, this paper presents an empirical investigation on China's industrial efficiencies and the impact factors between 2011 and 2015. Specifically, we apply the network slacks-based measure (SBM) model to evaluate the industrial eco-efficiency, and calculate the division efficiencies via efficiency decomposition approach. Furthermore, the factors affecting the industrial efficiencies are explored through Tobit regression. We find that (1) there is a great potential to improve the eco-efficiency, and for most provinces, the EC efficiencies are highest, followed by the WGT efficiencies, and the WWT efficiencies are the lowest. (2) The efficiencies present obvious area disparities, the eco-efficiency of the eastern area is the highest except for 2012 and 2013, and the eastern area behaves best at the EC stage, while the western area at the WGT stage and the central area fluctuate greatly at the WWT stage. (3) Technological innovation and urbanization level hinder the improvements of eco-efficiency, while economic structure, industrial structure, and economic development level are positive impact factors, especially the industrial structure. Moreover, environmental regulation insignificantly affects the eco-efficiency but exerts a positive effect on the WGT efficiency.Fires have increased in northeastern Iran as its semi-arid climate landscape is desiccated by human activities. To combat fire outbreaks in any region, fire susceptibility must be mapped using accurate and efficient models. This research mapped fire susceptibility in the forests and rangelands of Golestan Province in northeastern Iran using new data-mining models. Fire effective factors, including elevation, slope angle, annual mean rainfall, annual mean temperature, wind effect, topographic wetness index (TWI), plan curvature, distance to river, distance to road, and distance to village were obtained from several sources. The relative importance of each variable was determined using a random-forest algorithm. Fire-susceptibility maps were produced in R 3.0.2 software using GAM, MARS, SVM algorithms, and a new ensemble of the three models GAM-MARS-SVM. The four fire-susceptibility maps were validated using the area under the curve. The results show that the distance to the village, annual mean rainfall, and elevation were of greatest importance in predicting fire susceptibility. The new GAM-MARS-SVM ensemble model achieved the highest precision of fire-susceptibility mapping. The fire-susceptibility map produced using the GAM-MARS-SVM ensemble model best detected the high fire risk areas in Golestan Province. The fire-susceptibility map produced by the ensemble model can be very useful for creating and enhancing management strategies for preventing fires, particularly in the higher-risk portions of Golestan Province. In the traditional agri-fresh food supply chain (AFSC), geographically dispersed small farmers transport their products individually to the market for sale. This leads to a higher transportation cost, which is the primary cause of farmers' low profitability. This paper formulates a traditional product movement problem in AFSC. First, the aggregate product movement model is combined with the vehicle routing model to redesign an existing AFSC (the ETKA Company; the most extensive domestic agri-fresh food supply chain in Iran) based on the available data. For the four-echelon, multi-period supply chain under investigation, a mixed integer linear programming (MILP) model is developed for the location-inventory-routing problem of perishable products via considering the clustering of farmers to minimize the total distribution cost. Considering the complexity of the problem, an efficient and effective "matheuristic" is introduced based on hybridizing the Lagrangian relaxation and genetic algorithm (GA). The solution obtained by the proposed "matheuristic" algorithm is robust and efficient in comparison with an exact solver, GA, and the Lagrangian relaxation approach individually.
