Along with the increasingly stringent dust emission concentration standards for the thermal power plants and the challenge of market competition, wet electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) have been widely used as terminal equipment for the flue gas treatment. The wet ESPs pilot test platform using the modified carbon steel collectors with hydrophilic properties was established in this paper and the experimental research on PM2.5 removal characteristics were carried out. The mechanism of the particles removal efficiency enhancement by water film on the surface of modified collectors was studied. The effect of gas temperature, residence time, working voltage, inlet concentration, and flushing water flowrate on the particles removal efficiency was investigated. The results indicated that the fibrous layer over the surface of the modified collectors could reduce the effect of the airflow recoil and the electromigration resistance of particles. The surface of the modified collectors could also maintain a uniform and ic properties could maintain a uniform and stable water film with a lower amount of water consumption. The evaporation of water film improved the particle charge capacity and electromigration velocity. The wet ESPs using the modified rigid collector exhibited significantly higher removal efficiency of particles than using the conventional rigid collector especially to the particles with diameter of 0.04～0.48 μm.Zolmitriptan (ZOL), a member of triptans, has been used for the treatment of migraine with definite therapeutic effects. ZOL-derived glutathione (GSH) and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) conjugates were detected in rat liver microsomal incubations. In addition, the GSH and NAC conjugates were also found in bile and urine of rats given ZOL, respectively.ZOL-derived GSH conjugate M1 was also observed in ZOL-treated rat primary hepatocytes, and the formation of M1 was inhibited by pre-cultured with quinidine (a selective inhibitor of CYP2D6). Combining with recombinant P450 enzymes incubations, we found that CYP2D6 was the predominant enzyme responsible for the metabolic activation of ZOL.ZOL can be metabolized to an α,β-unsaturated imine intermediate by CYP2D6. Pre-treatment of primary hepatocytes with quinidine was able to reverse ZOL-induced cytotoxicity. Therefore, this study proposed a three-step optimization process of a reverse vending machine (RVM), a small automatic recyclable waste sorter/collector system, for acquiring an optimal design and enhanced efficiency. The RVM system categorized recyclable wastes as plastics, glass, and cans using barcode, vision, and near infrared sensors. The average sorting efficiency of the designed RVM system was 94%, 95% for polyethylene terephthalate, and 98% for glass bottles. Thus, it is important to better understand the factors that allow individuals recovering from SUD to reintegrate into communities after incarceration. This study sought to understand the relationship between a personality mediator (stability) and quality of life (QOL) and belonging support (BS), as well as the relationship between this mediator and QOL and psychological sense of community (PSOC) for 131 individuals living in Oxford House (OH) recovery homes. Stability was found to mediate the relationship between BS and QOL, as well as PSOC and QOL. The findings suggest that OH is a supportive and positive recovery community for those with criminal justice backgrounds, particularly those with higher stability.Background The purpose of this paper was to analyze the prevalence of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), hepatitis B surface antibody (anti-HBs), and hepatitis B core anti-body (anti-HBc)in1-29 years old living in the most populous eastern province of China,22 years after introduction of hepatitis B vaccine (HepB) vaccination of infants and provide provincial baseline data for developping a better prevention and control plan for hepatitis B virus (HBV)in Jiangsu Province, ChinaMethods The incidence rates of HBV in Jiangsu province from 2004 to 2014 were obtained from the National Notifiable Disease Reporting System (NNDRS). A stratified cluster random sampling method was used to select 3,002 participants aged 1-29 years across 13 HBV monitoring points throughout the province, which had been classified as either urban or rural. HBV serological markers were measured by Abbott microparticle enzyme immunoassay (MEIA) kits (Abbott Laboratories, Chicago, Illinois).Results The incidence of hepatitis B decreased by approximately 71.44% in Jiangsu province between 2004 and 2014. Serological assessments showed that the prevalence of the HBsAg, anti-HBc, and anti-HBsin the 1-29 age group were 1.20%, 5.33%,and 66.89%, respectively. There was a significantly lower prevalence of HepB who were vaccinated than in unvaccinated subjects (0.46% vs 14.93%, p less then .0001). Among these the ages of 1-29, the coverage rate drops from 97.7% to 56.6% with age,andthe timely rate among people aged 1-14 years was 90.93%.Conclusions Since the HepB was integrated into the immunization programme in Jiangsu province,the rate of hepatitis B reported and the prevalence of HBsAg decreased significantly, and the coverage of HepB and the vaccination rate within 24 hours after birth have played an important role in reducing HBV infection.
