Purpose To analyze and characterize the pattern of visual working distance (WD) and mobile phone usage distance (MPD) in a large population, analyzing the differences in these parameters according to the job profile.Methods Cross-sectional study consisting of a screening campaign evaluating the visual status of professionals from seven different environments. A total of 454 participants with a mean age of 41.5 years (range, 22-64 years) were revised. The screening campaign consisted of several rapid tests performed in a single session in the usual work environment of each participant, including measurement of WD, arm length, and MPD (VisionApp, VisionApp Solutions S.L.).Results WD was significantly longer than MPD (82.5 ± 150.6 vs. 31.9 ± 6.3 cm, p less then .001), whereas no significant differences were found between arm length (74.3 ± 4.8 cm) and WD (p = .493). WD was below 80 cm in 89.6% (407/454) of participants, whereas MPD was below 40 cm in 89.0% (404/454). No significant correlation was found between WD and MPD (r = 0.126, p = .117). Statistically significant differences were detected among job profile subgroups in WD (p less then .001), with military personnel showing significantly longer WD than other professionals (p ≤ 0.018). Significant differences were also found between job profile subgroups in MPD (p = .006), with shorter MPDs for shoe factory professionals compared to sellers (p = .046).Conclusions WD and MPD vary significantly among individuals, but always showing a shorter MPD. WD varies significantly also according to the job profile, being necessary to consider this information when selecting the most optimal optical aid in each case, especially for the compensation of presbyopia.Anti-Mullerian hormone (AMH) is expressed by the granulosa cells of the pre-antral and small antral follicles in the ovary. AMH serum levels are significantly higher in women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) due to an increased antral follicle counts (AFC) and a higher production of AMH per antral follicle. This research is a cohort study design with a sample size of 60 female patients with (n = 30) and without PCOS (n = 30) in which the relationship between AMH serum level and other hormonal markers was explored. Concern presentations were analyzed for a variety of design features (e.g., social action (inquiry vs. informing), when patients initiate during a visit, how patients fit topic to previous talk or activity) and contextual factors (e.g., concern falls inside or outside surgeon's domain of expertise, chronic vs. acute concern-types, the history of the patient-physician relationship). This study uses a mixed-methods approach, combining case-level conversation analysis and aggregate-level statistical analysis. Data are video recordings of office visits from 2013-2015, with a longitudinal focus of following the same patients across time. In total, 62 patients spanning 175 visits were analyzed. 377 patient-initiated additional concerns were found, and 188 received help. Several factors were found to increase the likelihood of patients' concerns getting helped such as designing the concern as an inquiry, raising the concern early in the visit, and mentioning the concern more than once. These findings can help guide patients on how to better design additional concerns presentations to receive help and can benefit physicians by identifying more subtle practices patients are already using to broach concerns to help reduce unnoticed or unhelped concerns.Aim The aim was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell in B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (B-NHL). Materials & methods A meta-analysis was conducted using eligible clinical trials, which were obtained from electronic medical literature databases. Results A total of 24 clinical trials with 590 patients were included. The best overall response rate was 66% and complete remission rate was 46%. The incidence rates of cytokine-release syndrome and neurotoxicity (grade ≥ 3) were 9 and 5%, respectively. The various clinical factors were analyzed. Autogenic CAR-T cell may lead to improved efficacy than allogeneic CAR-T cell. CD20 CAR-T cell may show increased efficacy than CD19 CAR-T cell. An online-based survey was administered to 413 community-based adults during COVID-19 confinement to explore psychological impact and identify high risk profiles. Young females concerned about the future, expressing high COVID-related distress, already following psychological therapy and suffering from pre-existing chronic conditions, were those at highest risk of psychological impact due to the COVID-19 situation. Findings could be employed to design tailored psychological interventions in the early stages of the outbreak to avoid the onset/exacerbation of psychopathology.
