Powerful Co-ordination between a Triphenylamine-Functionalized Salicylaldehyde Schiff Foundation along with a Copper mineral(2) .
Quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (Q-ICP-MS) and direct mercury analysis were used to determine the elemental composition of 180 transformed (salt-ripened) anchovies from three different fishing areas before and after packaging. Curzerene supplier To this purpose, four decision trees-based algorithms, corresponding to C5.0, classification and regression trees (CART), chi-squareautomatic interaction detection (CHAID), and quick unbiased efficient statistical tree (QUEST) were applied to the elemental datasets to find the most accurate data mining procedure to achieve the ultimate goal of fish origin prediction. Classification rules generated by the trained CHAID model optimally identified unlabelled testing bulk anchovies (93.9% F-score) by using just 6 out of 52 elements (As, K, P, Cd, Li, and Sr). The finished packaged product was better modelled by the QUEST algorithm which recognised the origin of anchovies with F-score of 97.7%, considering the information carried out by 5 elements (B, As, K. Cd, and Pd). Results obtained suggested that the traceability system in the fishery sector may be supported by simplified machine learning techniques applied to a limited but effective number of inorganic predictors of origin.Carbamate pesticides (CBs) are reported as one of the main causes of intentional or accidental poisoning of animals. Anticoagulant rodenticides (ARs) form the main class of poisons implicated in analyzed poisoned baits. These two groups of pesticide compounds include multiple substances, and thus, the development of a simple and rapid multiclass/multiresidue analytical method for simultaneous identification of both toxicant classes should be a useful strategy for analytical laboratories to reduce analysis time and cost. The present study aimed to elaborate and validate a rapid method to simultaneously determine 11 CBs and 8 ARs in samples of real matrices (bait, stomach content, and liver) from suspected animal poisoning cases. QuEChERS sample treatment and liquid chromatography coupled to hybrid high resolution mass spectrometry were used. The method resulted in good linearity (R2 ≥ 0.98) for all compounds, recovery was between 70% and 120% for CBs and 40-90% for ARs, and precision was ≤ 20% for all compounds. The method was successfully applied to the analysis of 871 real samples originating from suspected cases of animal poisoning, collected from April 2019 to October 2020. Furthermore, full scan dependent data acquisition allowed qualitative retrospective data analysis of an additional 15 compounds outside the scope of the method to be performed; these compounds could potentially be involved in unresolved poisoning cases. The post mortem evaluation of a brain edema is routinely performed by pathologists based on the macroscopic signs during autopsy. This method represents the current gold standard, but is subjective and observer dependent. Therefore, three post mortem evaluation methods of brain samples were analyzed in this work histology, wet-dry weight and normalized cerebral weight, which was described in 2020 by Bauer et al. Tissue samples from six different regions of 34 brains were collected and examined both by rating of histological slides and by measuring the water content by using a drying oven. The rating of the histological slides, stained with hematoxylin and eosin, was performed by two pathologists independently. For the water content, the wet weight and the dry weight of each sample were set in relation. The normalized cerebral weight was calculated by dividing the brain weight by the brain volume, which were both determined during autopsy and in computed tomography images, respectively. A fair to moderate intehe exact evaluation of brain edema remains a challenging task, especially due to the continuous transition between no edema and edema. The constant increase of new psychoactive substances, often available on the illicit drug market as 'research chemicals', poses a concern for public health and a significant analytical and legislative challenge. Β-keto-arylcyclohexamines represent a class of dissociative anesthetics recently introduced on the market of New Psychoactive Substances (NPS). There is still a lack of information about the pharmacological activity of many of such substances, usually depending on the potential chemical modifications introduced to circumvent the law. Furthermore, their intake may not be fully intentional, since consumers do not always have knowledge of the content of online purchases. The present study describes the characterization by liquid chromatography-high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS), using a benchtop Orbitrap instrument, of the novel ketamine analogues methoxpropamine, 2-fluoro-deschloroketamine and deschloroketamine, found in the post-mortem blood and hair samples from a forensic case of suicide by fall from height, and of some of their metabolites. This allowed the development of analytical methods for the determination of both the β-keto-arylcyclohexamines and the metabolites in LC-HRMS and in LC-MS/MS, providing a starting point for studying their toxicokinetics.
In 2019, the Italian Supreme Court established that hemp cannot be commercialized for human use, when the "psychotropic effect" of the product or its "offensiveness" can be demonstrated. The aim of the present study is to assess Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) blood concentrations after smoking cannabis with a low percentage of Δ9-THC, also referred as "light cannabis", and its effects on young adults' vigilance, cognitive and motor skills.

Eighteen young adults consumed three light cannabis cigarettes containing 400mg of inflorescences each, with a percentage of 0.41% of Δ9-THC and of 12.41% of CBD. Blood samples were collected before the experiment (t0), after each light cannabis cigarette (t1→t3), 60 (t4) and 120 (t5) minutes after the beginning of the experiment. Five performance tasks and a subjective scale were employed for measuring cognitive and psychomotor performances the day before the experiment (TT0) and after the third cigarette (TT1).

Mean (SD) concentrations (ng/ml) were 1.
