Mrs. Petri and Mr. Ruppert,
While I was at my field trip to Medieval Times, i learned about the knights Code of Chivalry. This was a standard kept by knights promising to stay compassionate, courageous, respectful, use chivalry, and honest. I was very intrigued by this and thought that our school could use their own code of chivalry. In this code our school would promise that hey will respect their teachers, do their best, and give it their best shot. This would be the way to get students to be the best they can be. I hope this will convince you to put this code into action.
When students agree to respect their teachers they agree to be on their best behavior. This will give maximum time for students to learn and grow in their education. Also, this will give teachers the room to be a little more lenient in their rules. When students go against what the teachers say the teacher has to repeat the rules over and over again. THis puts stress on the teacher and makes the student want to annoy them more. If we make the code to respect teachers, this will no longer be a problem.
On top of respect, when students try their best, it makes life and learning a lot easier. If the student isn't working or even trying to pay attention, the teacher will get angry and lash out or give up trying and let the student fail. If every student tries to get a good grade and gives it their all, teachers will be less stressed and more time can be spent on extracurricular activities then homework or remediation. This will give everyone an easier life and education.
Lastly, when students give up halfway through, no one wins. Their grade will plummet and the teacher will feel as if they have failed. If no one encourages them to not give up, and they don’t encourage themselves not to give up , everyone loses. If we make the code to give it their best shot then they will feel as if they have a chance and they are doing just fine. This is going to give everyone a win and a break.
This code will make the school run smooth. Teachers and students will form bond that no one can break because no one is mad at anyone. The code is a nice way to put things in order, without extra rules to add. Let’s add the code and fix the school.
