It is important in software development to enforce proper restrictions on protected services and resources. Typically software services can be accessed through REST API endpoints where restrictions can be applied using the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model. However, RBAC policies can be inconsistent across services, and they require proper assessment. Currently, developers use penetration testing, which is a costly and cumbersome process for a large number of APIs. In addition, modern applications are split into individual microservices and lack a unified view in order to carry out automated RBAC assessment. Often, the process of constructing a centralized perspective of an application is done using Systematic Architecture Reconstruction (SAR). This article presents a novel approach to automated SAR to construct a centralized perspective for a microservice mesh based on their REST communication pattern. We utilize the generated views from SAR to propose an automated way to find RBAC inconsistencies.A human-computer interaction (HCI) system can be used to detect different categories of the brain wave signals that can be beneficial for neurorehabilitation, seizure detection and sleep stage classification. Research on developing HCI systems using brain wave signals has progressed a lot over the years. However, real-time implementation, computational complexity and accuracy are still a concern. In this work, we address the problem of selecting the appropriate filtering frequency band while also achieving a good system performance by proposing a frequency-based approach using long short-term memory network (LSTM) for recognizing different brain wave signals. Adaptive filtering using genetic algorithm is incorporated for a hybrid system utilizing common spatial pattern and LSTM network. The proposed method (OPTICAL+) achieved an overall average classification error rate of 30.41% and a kappa coefficient value of 0.398, outperforming the state-of-the-art methods. The proposed OPTICAL+ predictor can be used to develop improved HCI systems that will aid in neurorehabilitation and may also be beneficial for sleep stage classification and seizure detection.Brain-computer interface (BCI) is a viable alternative communication strategy for patients of neurological disorders as it facilitates the translation of human intent into device commands. selleck products The performance of BCIs primarily depends on the efficacy of the feature extraction and feature selection techniques, as well as the classification algorithms employed. More often than not, high dimensional feature set contains redundant features that may degrade a given classifier's performance. In the present investigation, an ensemble learning-based classification algorithm, namely random subspace k-nearest neighbour (k-NN) has been proposed to classify the motor imagery (MI) data. The common spatial pattern (CSP) has been applied to extract the features from the MI response, and the effectiveness of random forest (RF)-based feature selection algorithm has also been investigated. In order to evaluate the efficacy of the proposed method, an experimental study has been implemented using four publicly available MI dataset (ation.A model regarding the lifetime of individual source code lines or tokens can estimate maintenance effort, guide preventive maintenance, and, more broadly, identify factors that can improve the efficiency of software development. We present methods and tools that allow tracking of each line's or token's birth and death. Through them, we analyze 3.3 billion source code element lifetime events in 89 revision control repositories. Statistical analysis shows that code lines are durable, with a median lifespan of about 2.4 years, and that young lines are more likely to be modified or deleted, following a Weibull distribution with the associated hazard rate decreasing over time. This behavior appears to be independent from specific characteristics of lines or tokens, as we could not determine factors that influence significantly their longevity across projects. The programing language, and developer tenure and experience were not found to be significantly correlated with line or token longevity, while project size and project age showed only a slight correlation.Integrating heterogeneous biological-inspired strategies and mechanisms into one algorithm can avoid the shortcomings of single algorithm. This article proposes an integrated cuckoo search optimizer (ICSO) for single objective optimization problems, which incorporates the multiple strategies into the cuckoo search (CS) algorithm. The paper also considers the proposal of multi-objective versions of ICSO called MOICSO. The two algorithms presented in this paper are benchmarked by a set of benchmark functions. The comprehensive analysis of the experimental results based on the considered test problems and comparisons with other recent methods illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed integrated mechanism of different search strategies and demonstrate the performance superiority of the proposed algorithm. In recent times, technologies such as machine learning and deep learning have played a vital role in providing assistive solutions to a medical domain's challenges. They also improve predictive accuracy for early and timely disease detection using medical imaging and audio analysis. Due to the scarcity of trained human resources, medical practitioners are welcoming such technology assistance as it provides a helping hand to them in coping with more patients. Apart from critical health diseases such as cancer and diabetes, the impact of respiratory diseases is also gradually on the rise and is becoming life-threatening for society. The early diagnosis and immediate treatment are crucial in respiratory diseases, and hence the audio of the respiratory sounds is proving very beneficial along with chest X-rays. The presented research work aims to apply Convolutional Neural Network based deep learning methodologies to assist medical experts by providing a detailed and rigorous analysis of the medical respiratory audio data for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary detection. In the conducted experiments, we have used a Librosa machine learning library features such as MFCC, Mel-Spectrogram, Chroma, Chroma (Constant-Q) and Chroma CENS. The presented system could also interpret the severity of the disease identified, such as mild, moderate, or acute. The investigation results validate the success of the proposed deep learning approach. The system classification accuracy has been enhanced to an ICBHI score of 93%. Furthermore, in the conducted experiments, we have applied K-fold Cross-Validation with ten splits to optimize the performance of the presented deep learning approach.
