This is a great choice if you are used to sleeping with your baby and want to continue this as long as you want to.
The crib can be folded and put in its own bag when you're ready to pack it. This is a great idea to use for travelling. This is a great solution when you're moving or if guests are staying for several days.
The Halo My Crib is a bit more complicated to put up than other travel cots, however it's not a problem. MFM mother home tester Jasmine loved how her bedside crib looked in her bedroom and how well it held up to use. She also praised the size of the crib, she said it was larger than the size of a Moses basket, but not too big. She also noted that it was easy to locate the mattress and that it is of good quality.
It is important to remember that a crib for bed isn't an alternative to a baby sleeping bag or swaddle as it does not guarantee the safety of your baby during sleep. Additionally, it's important to take away any pillows, duvets or blankets that may affect your baby's breathing.
Easy to clean
A bedside crib travel cot can ensure your baby is comfortable when you're away from home. It lets you keep an eye on your little one as they sleep, and also gives you a secure place to change your baby. But, before purchasing a crib that is placed on the bed, be sure to make sure to check the safety features. Verify that it meets British Standards and is easy to clean.
A crib that is suitable for bedside use should have sides with mesh that let air flow and be easy to clean. It should also be simple to move from room room. A solid frame and a quality mattress are important. The bedding should be able to fit the mattress with a firmness and should not leave any gaps or loose fabrics.
The size of your child's head is another important factor. Some travel cots can be bulky. Others fold into a compact size which can be easily tucked into a suitcase or in the back of your vehicle. Some come with bags for carrying.
Mum tester Nicola liked the look of the CoZee bedside crib appeared and found it easy to put together. She thought the mattress was very comfortable and cozy, however she did feel that it was rather heavy in comparison to other cots she tested. She also noted that she found the extra accessories like the changing unit and nightlight useful, though her son was a bit old for these by the time he was born.
The travel cot has been shortlisted for the 2021 Mother&Baby Awards in the Best Cot or Crib category. It features a sturdy aluminum frame and a triple-layered ventilated mattress that is designed to provide superior comfort. It also has a handy changing mat and two overhead linking toys to keep kids entertained while they sleep.
Easy to store
This crib is easy to clean and put away. The sides and legs can fold flat into a bag that fits in your car boot, suitcase or backpack. It's ideal for weekend trips, day trips and even long-term stays. The fabric is durable and machine washable, and the mattress feels comfortable to the touch. The mattress is shallower than most and our mother test subject Kathryn had to bend to pick her toddler up for bedtime.
It's a little heavier, but still quite small and light. It's simple to put together, and its four mesh sides provide ventilation and visibility. It also has a music function as well as a nightlight and a changing station. However, our mom test subject Nicola felt that her older son Olly did not enjoy these features.
Aside from the extra accessories, this cot is fairly simple and basic in design, yet it's one of the top on the market for its weight and user-friendliness. It's suitable from birth and easily converts to an infant travel cot and playpen with an opening side for easier access. It also comes with a carry bag which makes it simple to store away when not in use and transport.
It's worth looking at the options available when you look. Some travel cots are small enough to be folded so small that they even fit in the suitcase which is ideal when traveling on air. Others are larger and will require transport as checked luggage So, be sure to read the rules and regulations before purchasing a travel crib. Aside from this it is important to think about how often you'll use the travel cot, to help determine its size, functionality and weight.
