The aim of this study was to elucidate the clinical features and symptoms of IgG4-related ophthalmic disease (IgG4-ROD).
Retrospective, multicenter study.
The medical charts of 378 patients with IgG4-ROD diagnosed at 9 hospitals in Japan were reviewed. The demographic profiles, clinical findings, and ocular symptoms of the patients were analyzed.
On the basis of the diagnostic criteria for IgG4-ROD, the diagnosis was definite in 261 patients (69%), probable in 45 patients (12%), and possible in 72 patients (19%). The patients' mean age at the time of diagnosis was 60.6 ± 13.9years; 195 (52%) were male. The mean IgG4 serum level at the time of the initial diagnosis was 578.9mg/dL. Imaging studies showed pathologic lesions as follows lesions in the lacrimal glands (86%), extraocular muscles (21%), trigeminal nerve (20%), and eyelids (12%); isolated orbital mass (11%); diffuse orbital lesion (8%); lesion in the perioptic nerve (8%); and lesion in the sclera (1%). The ophthalmic symptoms included dry eye (22%), diplopia (20%), decreased vision (8%), and visual field defects (5%). IgG4-ROD with extraocular lesions was observed in 182 patients (48%).

Dihydroethidium In this paper, dynamical causal modeling is used to examine the interaction between cerebellum and cerebral cortex as indexed by MRI resting-state functional connectivity in three large-scale networks on healthy young adults (N = 200; Human Connectome Project dataset). These networks correspond roughly to default mode, task positive, and motor as determined by prior cerebellar functional gradient analyses. We find uniform interactions within all considered networks from cerebellum to cerebral cortex, providing support for the notion of a universal cerebellar transform. Our results provide a foundation for future analyses to quantify and further investigate whether this is a property that is unique to the interactions from cerebellum to cerebral cortex.
The impact of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic and its influence on personal hygiene behaviors and peritonitis rate in peritoneal-dialysis patients is unknown.
A multi-center retrospective study was conducted. We reviewed all the cases of peritoneal-dialysis (PD) patients from four major PD centers in Wuhan before and after COVID-19. There were 567 patients enrolled in total. Information was collected on personal hygiene behaviors, basic clinical characteristics, lab results, peritonitis details. We used Chi-square analysis to compare the personal hygiene behaviors, and used Chi-square goodness-of-fit analysis to compare the peritonitis rates before and after COVID-19. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was used to analyze the risk factors for peritonitis rate.
There were no significant differences on peritonitis rates in six-month period before and after COVID-19 (p = 0.0756, Fig.2 and Table 3). But Gram-positive infections decreased dramatically (p = 0.0041, Table 4). Personal hygiene bematically decreased. Never hand washing before PD treatment and serum albumin were the risk factors for peritonitis. We should emphasize hand washing before PD treatment in training and re-training program.
To investigate the efficacy of exercise training on functional capacity and quality of life in chronic kidney disease.
SCOPUS, CINAHL, Science Direct, Web of Science, MEDLINE, ProQuest, Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDRO), and Google Scholar databases were searched between 2010 and December 2020.
Randomized controlled trials were included if they involved any types of exercise training (aerobic, resisted and respiratory ex.) conducted with chronic kidney disease patients. Three authors independently screened articles, extracted data, and assessed the methodological quality using PEDro scale, and two authors released any confliction. Modified Sackett Scale was used to determine the level of evidence for each outcome.
Out of 130 papers screened, 13 studies with 619 participants met the inclusion criteria. The frequency of the treatment ranged from three to four sessions per week for a period ranging from 8 to 24weeks. According to the Pedro scale, the quality of studies ranged from good (three studies) to fair (ten studies). All included studies showed positive effects on the measured outcomes (functional capacity and quality of life in chronic kidney disease).
Exercise programs for chronic kidney disease patients provide beneficial clinical outcomes and optimize functional capacity and quality of life in those patients. Future studies still need to focus on high-quality evidence and studies evaluating the adverse effects of exercise.

This study aimed to explore the function and functional mechanism of circ_0006768 in oxygen-glucose deprivation/reoxygenation (OGD/R)-induced brain injury models of ischemic stroke. Human brain microvascular endothelial cells (HBMECs) were induced by OGD/R to mimic ischemic stroke models in vitro. The expression of circ_0006768, microRNA-222-3p (miR-222-3p) and vascular endothelial zinc finger 1 (VEZF1) was detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qPCR). Cell viability, angiogenesis ability and cell migration were assessed by cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) assay, tube formation assay and wound healing assay, respectively. The releases of pro-inflammatory factors were determined by commercial enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits. The protein levels of vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGFA), N-cadherin and VEZF1 were detected by western blot. The putative relationship between miR-222-3p and circ_0006768 or VEZF1 was validated by dual-luciferase reporter assay, RNA Immunoprecipitation (RIP) assay and pull-down assay.
