But there was no significant difference in AK. Besides, the decrease in MK and RK in frontal and temporal lobe was negatively associated with the severity of PSD.
Our research indicated that the damage to WM microstructure in the frontal lobe, temporal lobe and the genu of corpus callosum may be related toPSD. DKI explores the microstructural changes of WM in PSD patients and may be an auxiliary diagnostic method for PSD.

Prior work has suggested that methylation status at cg05575921 may serve as a specific biomarker of combusted tobacco smoke exposure. We hypothesized combining this epigenetic biomarker with conventional metabolite assays could classify the type of nicotine product consumption. Therefore, we determined DNA methylation and serum cotinine values in samples from 112 smokers, 35 e-cigarette users, 19 smokeless tobacco users, and 269 controls, and performed mass spectroscopy analyses of urine samples from all nicotine users and 22 verified controls to determine urinary levels of putatively nicotine product-specific substances; propylene glycol, 2-cyanoethylmercapturic acid (CEMA), and anabasine. 1) Cigarette smoking was associated with a dose dependent demethylation of cg05575921 and increased urinary CEMA and anabasine levels, 2) e-cigarette use did not demethylate cg05575921, 3) smokeless tobacco use also did not demethylate cg05575921 but was positively associated with anabasine levels 4) CEMA and cg05575921 levels were highly correlated and 5) propylene glycol levels did not reliably distinguish use groups. Cg05575921 assessments distinguish exposure to tobacco smoke from smokeless sources of nicotine including e-cigarettes and smokeless tobacco, neither of which are associated with cg05575921 demethylation. A combination of methylomic and metabolite profiling may allow for accurate classification use status of a variety of nicotine containing products. The present review aims at providing researchers and practitioners with a holistic overview of technology-based methods for the assessment of fine and gross motor skill in children. We conducted a search of electronic databases using Web of Science, PubMed and Google Scholar, including studies published up to March 2020, that assessed fine and/or gross motor skills, and utilized technological assessment of varying study design. A total of 739 papers were initially retrieved, and after title/abstract screening, removal of duplicates, and full-text screening, 47 were included. Results suggest that motor skills can be quantitatively estimated using objective methods based on a wearable- and/or laboratory-based technology, for typically developing (TD) and non-TD children. Fine motor skill assessment solutions were; force transducers, instrumented tablets and pens, surface electromyography, and optoelectronic systems. Gross motor skill assessment solutions were; inertial measurements units, optoelectronic systems, baropodometric mats, and force platforms. This review provides a guide in identifying and evaluating the plethora of available technological solutions to motor skill assessment. Although promising, there is still a need for large-scale studies to validate these approaches in terms of accuracy, repeatability, and usability, where interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers and practitioners and transparent reporting practices should be advocated. The ability to generate associative representations and to retrieve them from long-term episodic memory generally declines in healthy aging. However, it is unclear whether healthy aging has differential effects on associative memory for identity, spatial configuration, and temporal order relationships. In the current study, we assessed how healthy aging impacts on associative memory for identity, spatial, or temporal relationships between pairs of visual objects via discrimination of intact and rearranged pairs. Accuracy and response time performance of healthy older adults (aged 65-80) were compared with young adults (ages 19-30). Age-related declines in associative memory were observed equally for all types of associations, but these declines differed by associative status aging most strongly affected ability to discriminate rearranged pairs. These results suggest that associative memory for identity, spatial, and temporal relationships are equally affected by healthy aging, and may all depend on a shared set of basic associative mechanisms.β-Thalassemia (β-thal) is an inherited blood disorder characterized by reduced or absent synthesis of the β chains of hemoglobin (Hb). Although more than 900 β-globin gene mutations around the world have been identified, here we report a novel mutation detected in a Chinese subject of Han ethnicity. This allele develops by insertion of one nucleotide (+T) at codon 130 (HBB c.391insT) in the third exon of the β-globin gene. The mutation causes a frameshift that leads to a termination codon at codon 139. The identification of the novel mutation will facilitate future diagnosis of β-thal and will also be useful the genetic counseling and prenatal diagnosis.Cocoa presents a high fat content and a unique fatty acid profile defining its technological and nutritional properties. This study evaluated the fat content and fatty acid composition of Nacional cocoas, a worldwide recognised "fine" variety, collected in 85 Ecuadorian farms while taking into account 3 geographical levels (region, province, and canton). The total fat content varied from 45.61 ± 1.27 to 52.13 ± 0.58 g/100 g DW and was higher in the provinces and cantons from the Amazonian region than in those from the Pacific Coast region. A remarkable effect of the region and the province was shown on the content of individual fatty acids of Nacional cocoa beans. Total amounts of saturated and unsaturated fatty acids also depended on the growing area. Multivariate analysis provided a comprehensive assessment of the cocoa fat composition according to the origin, which may be useful for the selection of cocoas with specific technological and nutritional characteristics.
