The conservative management of cervical radiculopathy is supported by moderate evidence to include interventions such as manual therapy, traction, and therapeutic exercise. There is sparse evidence, however, to support specific manual therapy techniques, particularly thrust manipulation.
A 35-year-old male presented to physical therapy with a clinical diagnosis of cervical radiculopathy. He complained of neck and upper arm pain with 1st and 2nd digit paresthesias. He was initially managed with repeated movements that restored the cervical range of motion and centralized neck and upper arm pain. Non-thrust upslope joint mobilizations resulted in improved sensation detection in the hand, but the paresthesias did not completely resolve. Immediately following cervical spine upslope thrust manipulation, symptoms fully resolved.
The patient fully returned to prior level of function. His DASH score reduced from 40/100 to 2/100, PSFS improved from 1.66/10 to 9.66/10, and he reported to be 'a great deal better' on the GROC.
This case demonstrates the safe and effective utilization of cervical spine thrust manipulation and non-thrust mobilization in the management of a patient with cervical radiculopathy with lingering paresthesias in the distal upper extremity.

The ES-GT/PCL nanofibers possessed a highly porous structure with qualified mechanical properties for transplantation. With ES factors stored in the core and GT/PCL in the shell, the ES factors could be protected and released in a sustained manner. After seeding L929 cell line on ES-GT/PCL nanofibers for 7 days in vitro, the proliferation of cells was nearly 1.5 folds compared to the control group. The in vivo study showed that ES-GT/PCL nanofibers can accelerate skin wound healing rate during the healing course, especially on the early stage. The epidermal and dermal thickness, as well as skin appendages and fat tissue, were the most similar to the native skin. These findings provided valuable insights into the addition of multiple bioactive factors to nanometre biomaterials, and optimising the advantages of the compositions as a promising potential dermal substitute construct. We explored the associations between force-velocity-power (FVP) profiles and inter-limb asymmetries in FVP profiles obtained during unilateral jumping and single-leg isokinetic knee extension and flexion tasks. Thirty (13 senior and 17 junior) basketball players performed unilateral jumps with different levels of unloading (0-40% body mass) and isokinetic knee extension and flexion at different angular velocities (60-300°/s) with each leg. Senior and junior basketball players exhibited similar jump performance, normalized knee extensor and flexor strength, and relatively similar jumping and isokinetic FVP profiles. No significant associations between unilateral jump and isokinetic knee extension and flexion FVP parameters were found (all r ≤ 0.26; p > 0.05). Inter-limb asymmetries had no or very weak associations with unilateral jump height (-0.2 0.1); also, inter-limb asymmetries in jump and isokinetic FVP parameters were generally weakly associated (median r less then 0.1). Finally, unilateral jump height was weakly-to-moderately associated with isokinetic F0, jumping Pmax, and normalized knee extension isokinetic peak torque at 60°/s and 240°/s (r = 0.35-0.57). These results suggest that the generalizability of the FVP profile of isolated muscle groups to complex ballistic tasks is weak.Human trafficking has received considerable attention from policymakers, researchers and service providers globally, with resulting interventions often positioning trafficking as something that simply exists. Drawing on Bacchi's 'What's the Problem Represented to be?' approach, this article proposes that trafficking is continually made through efforts designed to eradicate it. We conducted 22 interviews with representatives from social service organisations funded by the government of Ontario, Canada, for anti-trafficking programming. These interviews provide insight into how trafficking is being represented and with what effects. Our findings suggest that organisational initiatives often rely on individualised health-related interventions, such as trauma-informed counselling and other mental health support, to address trafficking. G Protein antagonist In the process, various sex work activities are deemed 'symptoms' of trafficking, and perceived pathways to engaging in sex work (such as drug use/dependence, a history of trauma and low self-esteem) are produced as 'causes' or 'risk factors'. We contend that by pathologising sex work and sex workers, organisations are employing a contradictory neoliberal paternalism to advance a public health representation of human trafficking that simultaneously responsibilises and disenfranchises purported victims.
