patients whose prognosis remains dismal. The present study tries analyzing the psychological effects of such an indicator as form (dome's pattern) in architectural designing of the religious environments like mosques so as to investigate the creation/enhancement of spiritual sense and come up with the best pattern for the construction of such environments in an order of priority. The study makes use of a combined analysis method in such a way that a descriptive-analytical method has been applied in the first section followed by simulations in the second section and, then, laboratory method in the third part through taking advantage of instruments for recording the users' brain waves (EEG/QEEG). taking an unfamiliar and irregular form into account for the constructed religious environments like mosques can adversely and unpleasantly influence the addressees' feelings and the negligence of this matter would cause the creation of an environment with such unfavorable features. Furthermore, in regard of the successful form for construction of the religious environments, the first, the third, the fourth, the second and finally the fifth patterns can be introduced in an order of priority.Insomnia is a common problem, affecting individuals' health and quality of life. Among several therapies used to treat this condition, spiritual interventions are suggested to have beneficial outcomes on sleep disturbances. Nevertheless, a systematic compilation of the evidence available is still needed in the literature in order to scientifically investigate the topic. To examine the most common spiritual interventions proposed to treat sleep disorders and to assess the scientific evidence of these interventions. This is a scoping literature review conducted by independent researchers on the following databases PubMed, SCOPUS, Web of Science, Cochrane Library and OpenGrey. A boolean expression was used, and all studies published in the last 5 years investigating the role of spiritual or religious interventions on insomnia were included. From a total of 3257 articles retrieved in our search, ten studies were included in the final analysis. There is a wide array of techniques used to treat insomnia or the mental disorders associated with insomnia, such as mantra, yoga, mindfulness, praying/meditation, daily spiritual experiences, psycho-religious training and intervention. The included studies showed a positive influence of spiritual/religious interventions on insomnia directly and indirectly. However, there is a scarcity of clinical trials and most studies have small sample sizes and used only subjective measures, resulting in a low evidence. The results of the present review point to a promising role of spirituality and religion on better sleep outcomes, particularly in the improvement in insomnia. However, the heterogeneity and the quality of these studies suggest caution while interpreting these findings. More clinical trials are needed in this area to provide a recommendation of these methods in clinical practice.Srimad Bhagavad Gita, one of the most authentic scriptures of India, is being taught as an elective or regular course in various universities around the world. I have been teaching Gita in Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Hyderabad campus (BPHC) since 2012. This paper presents some feedback given by the students revealing the impact of the course on them and possible improvements in its pedagogy. Twelve batches of students (a little over 2000) have studied this course between January 2012 and May 2019. From these, 300 students volunteered in giving individual written feedback. In this elaborate write-up, they shared their experience of the course and possible improvements that they would suggest in its teaching. This includes 28 alumni, who came back to meet the author. An analysis of the student input reveals that the impact is at various levels which are broadly placed under three categories here (1) an immediate effect of sanctity and strengthening of faith, (2) improved clarity of the mind, better focus, calm and content disposition in general and (3) long-term effect on personality traits like development of leadership and problem-solving abilities. They have also suggested a combination of traditional and modern methods of teaching for better comprehension and participation. Two new polyacetylene glycosides, kamiohnoyneosides A and B, were isolated from the flowers of edible Chrysanthemum "Kamiohno", along with a known polyacetylene glycoside and two known monoterpene glycosides. The structures of new compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic data. https://www.selleckchem.com/products/ipilimumab.html Kamiohnoyneoside A and three known compounds moderately inhibited formation of Nε-(carboxymethyl)lysine, one of the representative advanced glycation endproducts.Yabumame (Amphicarpaea bracteata (L.) Fernald subsp. edgeworthii (Benth.) H.Ohashi var. japonica (Oliv.) H.Ohashi) is a legume plant that the Ainu people eat as a traditional food, although the bioactive ingredients other than vitamins have not been studied. In this study, the structures of yabumame isoflavone glucosides were determined and their effect on leukotriene (LT) B4, a chemical mediator of type I allergy, produced in mast cells, was investigated in vitro. Seven compounds were isolated from yabumame. Their structures were determined by spectroscopic and spectrometric analyses, which were genistein-7-O-β-D-glucoside (1), formononetin-7-O-(2″-O-β-D-glucosyl)-β-D-glucoside (2), formononetin-7-O-β-D-glucoside (3), biochanin A-7-O-(2″-O-β-D-glucosyl)-β-D-glucoside (4), formononetin-7-O-(6″-O-malonyl)-β-D-glucoside (5), biochanin A-7-O-(2″-O-β-D-glucosyl-6″-O-β-D-glucosyl)-β-D-glucoside (6), and biochanin A-7-O-(6″-O-malonyl)-β-D-glucoside (7). Compounds 2, 4, and 6 were determined as new compounds. Compound 3 showed statistically significant suppressive effect on LTB4 production in mast cells, although the activity was not strong. On the other hand, biochanin A, an aglycone common to compounds 4, 6, and 7, strongly inhibited the LTB4 production. The results suggest that some of yabumame isoflavone glucosides might contribute to mitigate type I allergy. Seven isoflavone glucosides including 3 new compounds were found in yabumame and their anti-allergic effect was evaluated.
