Potential review in the long-term outcomes and issues soon after full temporomandibular mutual substitution: evaluation at 10 years.
The all-cause mortality rate was 3.5 per 100 patient-years in the intervention arm vs. 6.7 per 100 patient-years in the control arm [adjusted hazard ratio (HR) 0.55; 95% confidence interval (CI) 0.37-0.82]. For non-cardiovascular mortality, the adjusted HR was 0.47 (95% CI 0.27-0.82). For other adverse events, no statistically significant differences were observed. CONCLUSION In this cluster randomized trial, integrated care for elderly AF patients in primary care showed a 45% reduction in all-cause mortality when compared with usual care. © The Author(s) 2020. Few studies have investigated the combination of both modalities through randomized controlled trials. Evidence of longer-term effects is missing. This article presents a study protocol that will investigate the effects of combined family-centered MT intervention and SSC on preterm-infants' autonomic nervous system (ANS) stability, parental anxiety levels, and parent-infant attachment quality. 12 clusters with a total of 72 preterm infants, with their parents, will be randomized to one of two conditions MT combined with SSC or SSC alone. Each parent-infant dyad will participate in 3 sessions (2 in the hospital and a 3-month follow-up). The primary outcome of preterm infants' ANS stability will be measured by the high frequency power of their heart rate variability. Secondary outcomes will be physiological measures and behavioral states in infants and anxiety and attachment levels of parents. This trial will provide important, evidence-based knowledge on the use of the "First Sounds Rhythm, Breath, and Lullaby" model of MT in neonatal care, through an intervention that is in line with the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program model for supportive developmental care of preterm infants and their parents. Ethical approval (no. 0283-15) was granted from the local Institutional Review Board in April 2017. This trial is registered in ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT03023267. © American Music Therapy Association 2020. The present study explored this topic. MATERIAL AND METHODS EM-E6/E7/hTERT cells were divided into 5 groups control group, NC group, PDGF group, MenSCs group, and PDGF+MenSCs group. The effects of MenSCs and PDGF on cell proliferation, invasion, and microvascular formation of endometrial epithelium were investigated by CCK-8, Transwell, and tube formation assays, respectively. Mouse endometrial injury models were established and mice were randomly divided into control, model, PDGF, MenSCs, and PDGF+MenSCs groups. Pathological change was examined with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining. Microvessel formation of endometrial epithelium was estimated by detecting the expression of CD34 protein with immunohistochemical (IHC) staining. Western blot analysis was used to detect the activation of Akt and Bad proteins in endometrial tissue. RESULTS MenSCs, PDGF, and the combination treatments significantly promoted the proliferation, migration, and tube formation of endometrial epithelium compared to the control and NC group. The combination of MenSCs and PDGF remarkably promoted re-epithelialization and endometrial repair. IHC staining analysis showed significant increases in CD34 expression of the endometrial tissue following treatment with PDGF and MenSCs. The combination treatments also markedly enhanced the phosphorylation of Akt and Bad in endometrial tissue. CONCLUSIONS These results suggest that MenSCs and PDGF may be candidate substances for endometrial injury repair. We tested whether or not altered Ca2+ spark activity accounted for detrusor overactivity (DO) of Wistar rats after partial bladder outlet obstruction (PBOO). We constructed a DO model through PBOO and studied the Ca2+ spark activity of detrusor. By way of using confocal microscopy and the patch-clamp technique, Ca2+ sparks and spontaneous transient outward currents (STOCs) in detrusor myocytes were measured respectively. Our results indicated that Ca2+ spark activity and STOCs were significantly reduced in the DO detrusor myocytes compared to unafflicted control cells, and both of these had levels that were remarkably increased by applications of caffeine (10 μM), a RyR agonist, in DO myocytes. In addition, measures of detrusor contractions were also recorded by using freshly isolated detrusor strips. These results indicated that the spontaneous contraction of DO detrusor was significantly enhanced, and that the effect of caffeine (10 μM) upon detrusor contractions was reversed by applications of iberiotoxin (100 nM) which is a BK channel blocker. Western blotting (WB) analyses indicated that the levels of expression of ryanodine receptor type 2 (RyR2) and FK506 binding protein 12.6 (FKBP12.6) in bladder muscle were respectively decreased and increased in the samples from DO rats. Thus, we considered in the rat DO model wherein PBOO, the reduced Ca2+ spark activity in detrusor myocytes partly contributed to overactive detrusor contractions. The impaired Ca2+ spark activity may have resulted from decreased RyR2 expression and increased FKBP12.6 expression. Such novel findings in our research might help to provide means for better treatment outcomes for patients afflicted by bladder dysfunction. We developed and validated a nomogram to predict coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) in northern China. We analyzed a cohort of RA patients admitted to the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology of the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from 2011 to 2017. To select a high-performance model for clinical data prediction, we evaluated the F1-scores of six machine learning models. Based on the results, we selected multivariable logistic regression analysis for the development of a prediction model. We then generated an individualized prediction nomogram that included age, sex, hypertension, anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibody positivity, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate, and serum LDL-cholesterol, triglyceride and HDL-cholesterol levels. The prediction model exhibited better discrimination than the Framingham Risk Score in predicting CHD in RA patients. The area under the curve of the prediction model was 0.77, with a sensitivity of 63.9% and a specificity of 77.
