Cosmetology training is an under-fulfilled component of dermatology residency training.
To determine the availability of cosmetic training for dermatology residents in Turkey, their satisfaction by their cosmetic training and their self-confidence in cosmetic procedures.
An online survey of 33 questions was performed between February and March 2019.
Out of 329 known dermatology residents, 113 (34.3%) responded. 94.7% of the participants thought cosmetic training should be part of residency training. 50.4% received cosmetology training. Of the participants, 50.4% took this training in their department, 43.4% in conferences and courses and 24.8% in private practice. Skills learned in conferences and cosmetology courses made the biggest contribution to the cosmetic knowledge of the participants. Theoretical lectures on cosmetology were present in 22.1% of the training programs, whereas practical lessons were included in 16.8% of the programs. Theoretical lectures were found to fulfill expectancies of 8% make cosmetic procedures independently for patient safety and to protect our field of profession. In this context, including cosmetology training into residency training in accordance with a preconceived program, providing practical cosmetic training in training clinics and organization of cosmetic courses for residents by professional associations may help reduce the deficits in this issue.
The present study aimed to explore the experiences and needs of direct support staff during the initial stage of the COVID-19 lockdown in the Netherlands.
Overall, eleven direct support staff were recruited from five intellectual disability services to participate in this descriptive qualitative study. They recorded 34 audio messages during the considered period. Thematic analysis was used to analyse these audio recordings.
Four themes emerged (1) Emotional impact, which pertained to various emotions they experienced in their work; (2) Cognitive impact, which referred to challenges and changes they had undergone in their work; (3) Practical impact, which centred on the practical impact of the pandemic on their work; and (4) Professional impact, which concerned their experiences with other professionals.

Here, a new narrow-bandgap polymer acceptor L14, featuring an acceptor-acceptor (A-A) type backbone, is synthesized by copolymerizing a dibrominated fused-ring electron acceptor (FREA) with distannylated bithiophene imide. Combining the advantages of both the FREA and the A-A polymer, L14 not only shows a narrow bandgap and high absorption coefficient, but also low-lying frontier molecular orbital (FMO) levels. Such FMO levels yield improved electron transfer character, but unexpectedly, without sacrificing open-circuit voltage (Voc ), which is attributed to a small nonradiative recombination loss (Eloss,nr ) of 0.22 eV. Benefiting from the improved photocurrent along with the high fill factor and Voc , an excellent efficiency of 14.3% is achieved, which is among the highest values for all-polymer solar cells (all-PSCs). The results demonstrate the superiority of narrow-bandgap A-A type polymers for improving all-PSC performance and pave a way toward developing high-performance polymer acceptors for all-PSCs.A convenient method for deoxyfluorination of aromatic and aliphatic carboxylic acids with CF3 SO2 OCF3 in the presence of a suitable base at room temperature has been developed. The reaction allows a straightforward access to a variety of acyl fluorides and proves that CF3 SO2 OCF3 is an effective deoxyfluorination reagent for carboxylic acids. The method features simplicity, expeditiousness, high efficiency, ease of handling, good functional group tolerance, a wide range of substrates, excellent yields of products, compatibility of many amine initiators, use of environmentally friendly reagents, and effortless removal of byproducts. This reaction represents the first utilization of trifluoromethyl trifluoromethanesulfonate as a fluorination reagent.One of the key differentiators between biological and artificial systems is the dynamic plasticity of living tissues, enabling adaptation to different environmental conditions, tasks, or damage by reconfiguring physical structure and behavioral control policies. Lack of dynamic plasticity is a significant limitation for artificial systems that must robustly operate in the natural world. Recently, researchers have begun to leverage insights from regenerating and metamorphosing organisms, designing robots capable of editing their own structure to more efficiently perform tasks under changing demands and creating new algorithms to control these changing anatomies. Here, an overview of the literature related to robots that change shape to enhance and expand their functionality is presented. Related grand challenges, including shape sensing, finding, and changing, which rely on innovations in multifunctional materials, distributed actuation and sensing, and somatic control to enable next-generation shape changing robots are also discussed.

Obese people in intensive care units (ICUs) present nurses with special challenges. Therefore, nurses need to receive education and training regarding how to treat obese patients to provide them with the best care. Most studies on obesity in ICU patients have not specifically addressed the problems and challenges from the nurses' perspective. This may be because nursing science programmes in Europe rarely introduce the topic of obesity.
