Accordingly, the strains, research progress and mechanisms of various methods for degrading quinoline are explored and elucidated in detail, especially quinoline biodegradation and the combination of these technologies for efficient removal. The state-of-the-art processes and new findings of our team on the biofortification of quinoline degradation are also presented. Finally, research bottlenecks and gaps for future research were identified along with the prospects and resource utilization of quinoline. These discussions facilitate the realization of the zero discharge of quinoline.Coastal plain streams in the southeastern United States supply carbon that supports important coastal ecosystems, but the effects of urbanization on carbon export from these streams have not been extensively studied. This study aimed to determine how urbanization changes coastal plain stream organic matter quality, rates of carbon export, and dissolved oxygen dynamics that have implications for stream ecosystem function. Organic matter quality, organic carbon export, and dissolved oxygen concentrations were measured for multiple years (2009 & 2013-2015) in North Carolina coastal plain streams that spanned a gradient of urbanization. Based on spectral characteristics, dissolved organic matter (DOM) quality appeared to shift from characteristic blackwater in minimally impacted streams to clear streamwater in urban streams due to large reductions in chromophoric DOM concentrations, aromaticity, and molecular weight. Differences in spectral indices and characteristics of dissolved organic carbon export suggest thrn US coastal plain streams.Growing conditions of water scarcity and population growth necessitate measures for improved water availability to meet agricultural, industrial, and domestic and consumer water demands; generating new environmental pressures on wetlands and other aquatic ecosystems. In Iran, the "set-aside program" incentivizes farmer participation in wetland conservation through mandated land management practices, making them key stakeholders in environmental conservation action. This study explores attitudes to participation in the set-aside wetland conservation program to revive the Jazmurian wetland in Iran, using a random sample of 226 farmer-stakeholder respondents. Farmers were surveyed to investigate economic and social participation using a willingness to accept (WTA) and willingness to pay (in money per ha) (WTP) model. Results show strong (45%) respondent opposition to wetland conservation participation. The system is composed of 5 photovoltaic modules of monocrystalline silicon solar cells technology, each 20 Wp, parallel-interconnected, adding up to a 100 Wp system. The modules have a water reactor on top with the capacity of providing a minimum of 37.5 L per day for a family of 5 members, guaranteeing the minimum daily needs. The main objective in this study was to relate the allocation patterns of NaCl contaminants to injury within foliage of lime trees mechanistically and distinguish between the effects of salt and other environmental stressors. Using field material representative of salt contamination levels in the street greenery of Riga, Latvia, the contribution of salt contaminants to structural and ultrastructural injury was analyzed, combining different microscopy techniques. On severely salt-polluted and dystrophic soils, the foliage of street lime trees showed foliar concentrations of Na/Cl up to 13,600/16,750 mg kg-1 but a still balanced nutrient content. The salt contaminants were allocated to all leaf blade tissues and accumulated in priority within mesophyll vacuoles, changing the vacuolar ionic composition at the expense of especially K and Ca. The size of mesophyll cells and vacuoles was increased as a function of NaCl concentration, suggesting impeded transpiration stream.
