The tunable surface-wetting properties of photosensitive random copolymer mats were used to spatially control the orientations of thin-film block copolymer (BCP) structures. A photosensitive mat was produced via thermal treatment on spin-coated random copolymers of poly(styrene-ran-2-nitrobenzyl methacrylate-ran-glycidyl methacrylate), synthesized via reversible-deactivation radical polymerization. The degree of UV-induced deprotection of the nitrobenzyl esters in the mat was precisely controlled through the amount of UV-irradiation energy imparted to the mat. The resulting polarity switching of the constituents collectively altered the interfacial wetting properties of the mat, and the tunability allowed lamellar or cylinder-forming poly(styrene-b-methyl methacrylate) BCP thin films, applied over the mat, to change the domain orientation from perpendicular to parallel at proper UV exposures. UV irradiation passing through a photomask was capable of generating defined regions of BCP domains with targeted orientations.Electrocatalytic oxidation of SO2 has been applied in many fields, and electrocatalyst is the focus of the research. Platinum-based electrocatalysts are the hot spot in this reaction. Although the properties of these materials have been optimized to a certain extent, there is still room for improvement in activity and long-term durability. In light of this, two kinds of carbon-supported Pt-Ru bimetallic electrocatalysts (PtRu/C alloy catalyst and Ru@Pt/C core-shell catalyst) were prepared by the microwave reduction method. The experiments demonstrate that the enhancement in the activity of bimetallic catalysts originates from the electronic effect and bifunctional effect between Pt and Ru. Bimetallic catalyst contains a large number of RuOxHy, which promotes the reaction. Because of the high Pt utilization, Ru@Pt/C catalyst with the Pt shell has a higher performance than alloy catalyst. The unit Pt mass activity of PtRu/C and Ru@Pt/C is 1.73 and 2.43 times that of Pt/C, respectively. Ru@Pt/C exhibits excellent stability in the high acid environment and is a promising SO2 electrocatalyst.OBJECTIVE The purpose of this cross-sectional survey is to explore the current state of Internet addiction (IA) in Chinese medical students and its connection with medical students' sleep quality and self-injury behavior. METHODS Respondents were came from Wannan Medical College, China. The Young's Internet Addiction Test, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Self-Harm Questionnaire were used in this cross-sectional survey. A total of 3,738 medical students were investigated, 1,552 (41.52%) males, 2,186 (58.48%) females. T-test, chi-square test and MANOVA were used for data analysis. RESULTS Of the 3,738 medical students, 1,054 (28.2%) reported having IA, 1,126 (30.1%) reported having poor sleep quality, 563 (15.1%) having self-harm behaviors. K-975 molecular weight IA tends to be more female, upper grade students. The sleep quality of IA was worse than that of non-IA (χ2=54.882, p less then 0.001), and the possibility of self-injury was higher than non-IA (χ2=107.990, p less then 0.001). CONCLUSION This survey shows that the IA detection rate of medical students was 28.2%. Females, higher grade students had a higher IA detection rate. The low sleep quality and self-injury behavior of medical students are associated with IA.OBJECTIVE Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder with underlying pathogenesis and etiological factors not fully understood. We assumed that galectin-3, which is also linked with inflammatory responses, may play an important role in the ethiopathogenesis of ADHD. In this study, we aimed to investigate whether serum galectin-3 levels are related to ADHD in childhood. METHODS The current study consisted of 35 treatment-naive children with ADHD and 35 control subjects. The severities of ADHD and conduct disorder symptoms were assessed via parent- and teacher-rated questionnaires. The severity of anxiety and depression symptoms of the children were determined by the self-report scale. Venous blood samples were collected and serum galectin-3 levels were measured. RESULTS The ADHD group had significantly higher serum Galectin-3 levels than the control group. To control confounding factors, including age, sex, and BMI percentile, one-way analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) test was also performed. Analyses revealed a significantly higher serum log- Galectin-3 levels in children with ADHD compared to controls. No association was found between the mean serum galectin-3 levels and sociodemographic characteristics and clinical test scores, except the oppositional defiant behavior scores. CONCLUSION Our research supports the hypothesis that serum levels of galectin-3 might be related to ADHD.OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to investigate the predictor variables that could influence overlap syndrome in functional gastrointestinal disorders (FGID) among psychiatric patients. METHODS Data collected from 170 outpatients visiting the psychiatric clinic at a university hospital. FGIDs were screened according to the Rome III questionnaire-Korean version. Demographic factors were investigated, and psychosocial factors were evaluated using the Hospital Anxiety Depression Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire-15, Childhood Trauma Questionnaire-Korean and the Short form health survey. Chi-squared test, Student's t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation test were used as statistical analysis methods. RESULTS There were no differences in the epidemiologic data between the two groups divided according to the FGID status. In those with FGID overlap syndrome, FD-NERD was most common (n=29), followed by IBS-NERD (n=20). Patients with overlap syndrome had the highest depressive, anxiety, and somatic symptoms. The overlap syndrome group had the lowest physical component summary and mental component summary. FGID symptom severity was significantly correlated with PCS and MCS in the overlap syndrome group. CONCLUSION Psychological factors are associated with the overlap syndrome of FGID. Acknowledging this common comorbidity may facilitate the recognition and treatment of patients with FGID.
