018). The adenoma detection rate (ADR) of colonoscopists performing TCS was 30.2-52.8%. RRBP1 is a nascent transporter that is situated on the rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER). It adjusts to the secretion of proteins in cells and alleviates ER stress, thus stimulating cell proliferation. An immunohistochemical (IHC) study was conducted to detect the expression level of RRBP1 on 96 CSCC tissue samples. Western blot and Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) were performed to compare the expression levels of RRBP1 in cervical squamous cell carcinoma with healthy cervical tissues. An overexpression of RRBP1 was observed in CSCC tissues, and the expression level was associated with FIGO stage (Stage I vs. II 52.6% vs. 74.1%, p = 0.030), and lymph node metastasis (No vs. Yes 61.5% vs. 92.3%, p = 0.031) but not patient age and tissue differentiation. Univariate survival analysis indicated that prognosis was associated with the expression level of RRBP1 and tissue differentiation and lymph node metastasis. Analysis of the multi-factor survival Cox model proved that RRBP1 was an independent prognostic factor. In conclusion, compared with healthy cervical tissues, RRBP1 was overexpressed in CSCC tissues, illustrating that RRBP1 may be a new biomarker for the diagnosis of CSCC. The study on RRBP1 may contribute to exploring the pathogenesis of CSCC and may also guide targeted therapy for CSCC in the future.Background To investigate the effect of cardiovascular disease (CVD) on the global pandemic, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), we analyzed the cases of laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 patients in Wuhan.Methods and ResultsData were extracted from the medical records. SARS-CoV-2 RNA was confirmed by RT-PCR. A total of 33 (53.2%) of 62 cases with CVD, who had higher prevalence of severe COVID-19 compared with non-CVD patients (P=0.027). The median age of all patients was 66.0 (53.3, 73.0) years old. Coronary artery disease (11.3%) and hypertension (38.7%) were the common coexisting CVDs in COVID-19 patients. High-sensitivity cardiac troponin I (hs-cTnI), creatinine, high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol, interleukin-6, C-reactive protein, prothrombin time, and D-dimer levels in the severe COVID-19 with CVD group were higher than in the non-severe COVID-19 with CVD group (P less then 0.05). For all patients, chest computed tomography (CT) showed ground-glass opacity (66.1%), local (21.0%), bilateral (77.4%), and interstitial abnormalities (4.8%). In COVID-19 patients with CVD, 27 (81.8%) were cured and discharged. 6 (18.2%) remained in hospital, including 2 (3.2%) patients requiring intubation and mechanical ventilation. The hs-cTnI levels in the remaining hospitalized patients were higher than in the discharged patients (P=0.047). Conclusions CVDs play a vital role in the disease severity of COVID-19. COVID-19 could result in myocardial injury, which affects the prognosis of COVID-19.A novel cold-adapted methane-oxidizing bacterium, termed TFB, was isolated from the thermoglacial Arctic karst spring, Trollosen, located in the South Spitsbergen National Park (Norway). The source water is cold and extremely low in phosphate and nitrate. The isolate belongs to the Methylovulum genus of gammaproteobacterial methanotrophs, with the closest phylogenetic affiliation with Methylovulum miyakonense and Methylovulum psychrotolerans (96.2 and 96.1% 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities, respectively). TFB is a strict aerobe that only grows in the presence of methane or methanol. It fixes atmospheric nitrogen and contains Type I intracellular membranes. The growth temperature range was 2-22°C, with an optimum at 13-18°C. The functional genes pmoA, mxaF, and nifH were identified by PCR, whereas mmoX and cbbL were not. C161ω5c was identified as the major fatty acid constituent, at an amount (>49%) not previously found in any methanotrophs, and is likely to play a major role in cold adaptation. Strain TFB may be regarded as a new psychrotolerant or psychrophilic species within the genus Methylovulum.
