Dauntless adalah salah satu dari lima faksi di Divergentfort. Dauntless didedikasikan untuk keteguhan, keberanian, ketangguhan, dan kehidupan tanpa rasa takut, berani, tegas, serta tidak berkecil hati dalam menghadapi kesulitan dan bahaya.
Dauntless adalah faksi yang dibentuk oleh orang-orang yang menyalahkan sikap pengecut sebagai penyebab masalah di masyarakat. Menurut mereka satu-satunya jawaban menghadapi ketakutan adalah melalui keberanian untuk menghadapinya.
Dauntless memiliki sifat berani dan keteguhan hati yang tinggi, suka bertarung dan memiliki keterampilan fisik.
Dauntless mengutamakan nilai keberanian lebih dari yang lain, dan mereka melatih diri termasuk dengan cara menggunakan senjata untuk merespon ancaman dan tantangan, hal ini diperlukan jika mereka ingin bertahan hidup sebagai anggota Dauntless. Dauntless menekankan ide kebebasan dari rasa takut.
Anggota Dauntless dan calon anggota adalah satu-satunya yang diperbolehkan untuk naik kereta dan melakukannya dengan cara yang berani ( melompat ke dan dari kereta ketika sedang bergerak ).
