Poor sleep is a vital symptom observed in many psychiatric conditions and is the most neglected and underdiagnosed. The current study aims at assessment of sleep quality among psychiatric patients using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) scale and to identify the predictors of sleep quality.
A hospital-based cross-sectional observational study conducted in the Psychiatry department with a sample size of 256 patients for six months. PSQI scale was used to assess sleep quality and multiple logistic regression was used (to identify) the predictors for poor sleep quality.
The mean age of the study population was 37.95±14.11 years, with 148 (58%) male study participants. 192 (75%) of the study population had poor sleep quality with respect to PSQI scale with a mean score of 9.05±4.65 that was well above the expected range (0-5) suggestive of compromised quality of sleep (p=0.001). Poor sleep satisfaction, waking up after the sleep onset, anorexia, day time drowsiness and at least one completely sleepless night in the past one week of admission were identified as good predictors for poor sleep quality.
Our study addresses the importance of assessing sleep quality regardless of the psychiatric conditions. We recommend screening patients if they have Poor sleep satisfaction, waking up after the sleep onset, anorexia, day time drowsiness or at least one completely sleepless night in the past one week of admission predictors for comorbid sleep disorders.

Child marriage is one of the most important challenges of the current era that threatens women's health and violates human rights. The present study aimed to systematically review studies evaluating the challenges and strategies to overcome child marriage.
Medical databases (CINAHL, EMBASE, MEDLINE, EMBASE, PsycINFO, SCOPUS, Web of Science, ProQuest Nursing and Allied Health Source, and Social Science Research Network, as databases for English studies and IranMedex, Google Scholar, SID, Magiran, and Iran Doc as databases for Persian studies) were systematically searched from January 2010 to February 2020. To better identify appropriate studies, reference lists of relevant studies were searched. All potentially relevant abstracts and full-text were screened by two independent reviewers. Disagreements between two reviewers that could not be resolved were resolved via arbitration or consultation of a third author.
From 225 articles included in this review, 16 research articles met our inclusion criteria. Mmarriage is required further research.
The outbreak of COVID-19 affects both physical and mental health of pregnant women. This study focuses on their psychological status, and analyzes the main factors affecting their emotions of pregnant women so as to provide guidance for psychological counseling and social intervention during epidemics.
Multiple researchers distributed a questionnaire online via the Internet. Pregnant women volunteered, and the questionnaire was automatically collected in the background.
The 298 valid questionnaires recovered showed that 82 cases of pregnant women were in states of anxiety, accounting for 27.51%, of which 78.05% were mild (82 cases), 19.51% were moderate (16 cases), and 2.44% were severe (2 cases). Moreover, 31.21% of pregnant women were in states of depression (93 cases), of which 52.69% were mild (49 cases), 40.86% were moderate (38 cases), and 6.45% were severe (6 cases). The risk factors for states of anxiety or depression were fear of fetal malformation or genetic disease, history of adverse pregnancy, can't do routine prenatal examination, and insufficient support and care from husbands and families. Besides, 16 cases had sought psychological help during the epidemic, among whom 62.50% (10 cases) experienced anxiety, 68.75% (11 cases) had depression.
During the outbreak of COVID-19, obstetricians may take use of the Internet, based on the advantages in epidemic prevention, controlling health education, and popularizing science. In addition, husbands and family members should provide greater care for pregnant women, to protect their mental health during public health incidents.

Our previous studies have demonstrated the importance of dietary factors in the determination of hypertension in Dahl salt-sensitive (SS) rats. Since the gut microbiota has been implicated in chronic diseases like hypertension, we hypothesized that dietary alterations shift the microbiota to mediate the development of salt-sensitive hypertension and renal disease.
This study utilized SS rats from the Medical College of Wisconsin (SS/MCW) maintained on a purified, casein-based diet (0.4% NaCl AIN-76A, Dyets) and from Charles River Laboratories (SS/CRL) fed a whole grain diet (0.75% NaCl 5L79, LabDiet). Faecal 16S rDNA sequencing was used to phenotype the gut microbiota. Directly examining the contribution of the gut microbiota, SS/CRL rats were administered faecal microbiota transfer (FMT) experiments with either SS/MCW stool or vehicle (Vehl) in conjunction with the HS AIN-76A diet.
SS/MCW rats exhibit renal damage and inflammation when fed high salt (HS, 4.0% NaCl AIN-76A), which is significantly attenuated in SS/CRL. Gut microbiota phenotyping revealed distinct profiles that correlate with disease severity. SS/MCW FMT worsened the SS/CRL response to HS, evidenced by increased albuminuria (67.4±6.9 vs 113.7±25.0mg/day, Vehl vs FMT, P=.007), systolic arterial pressure (158.6±5.8 vs 177.8±8.9mmHg, Vehl vs FMT, P=.09) and renal T-cell infiltration (1.9-fold). https://www.selleckchem.com/products/dual-specificity-protein-phosphatase-1-6-Inhibitor-bcl.html Amplicon sequence variant (ASV)-based analysis of faecal 16S rDNA sequencing data revealed taxa that significantly shifted with FMT Erysipelotrichaceae_2, Parabacteroides gordonii, Streptococcus alactolyticus, Bacteroidales_1, Desulfovibrionaceae_2, Ruminococcus albus.
These data demonstrate that dietary modulation of the gut microbiota directly contributes to the development of Dahl SS hypertension and renal injury.
