5 Tahun berlalu sejak Perang Dunia ketiga peah. Seluruh dunia masih mengalami situasi yang dinamakan 'kelumpuhan'. Beberapa negara bekerja sama untuk membangun negara mereka kembali. Beberapa negara juga berjuang sendiri untuk mengembalikan kejayaan negara mereka.
Avengers, sekelompok manusia super yang saat ini ikut dalam misi perlindungan dunia. Seluruh anggota avengers ini berpencar ke seleuruh penjuru dunia untuk mengawasi perkembangan masing-masing negara yang mereka anggap sebagai tanggung jawab mereka. Semua aman, sampai satu hari, Vision menghilang tanpa jejak.
Berbagai sudah dilakukan, mulai dari berpencar diseluruh penjuru dunia hingga menggunakan teknologi super canggih ciptaan Stark. Namun, hasilnya nihil. Vision tak kunjung ditemukan. 3 bulan berlalu sejak menghilangnya Vision, seluruh Avengers masih berusaha untuk mencari teman mereka. Hingga satu hari tiba-tiba sebuah alarm, yang dibuat khusus oleh Stark untuk mendeteksi keberadaan Vision, berbunyi. Secara sigap, semua Avengers berkemupul di gedung mereka dan segera menuju ke tempat yang dideteksi oleh alarm tersebut.
Namun, hal yang tidak diinginkan terjadi. Vision yang merupakan salah satu avenger terkuat berbalik melawan Avengers. Mereka tidak menemukan Vision yang mereka kenal, melainkan seorang penjahat yang saat ini tinggal di dalam tubuh Vision. Pertarungan perama tidak berjalan baik, seluruh Avengers lumpuh, Captain memerintahkan seluruh pasukan mundur, seluruh tim pun mundur.
"He is too strong, Steve"
"Even Friday told me to retreat way before you told us"
"We are no match for him"
He sighed, the blue clothed man stare at all his friends.
"I think we should call them"
"You sure, cap?"
"Yeah, we need them"
