The two versions of "Monsters on Maple Street" were very different. Comparing them, the more modern version only had the mob try to kill one family. However, the original episode killed all of the families. That is not the only difference though. The older version had only tech from their time. Though, the other episode had more relevant devices, like gameboys and TV's. There were many differences in comparing modern and original "Monsters on Maple Street."

Despite the differences, there are some similarities. This is like how both episodes of "Monsters on Maple Street" ended up being an experiment. The original had aliens, and the modern had two army men. Both also had the street destroy and kill a family. Even though it was in a different way, the episodes all killed some-one. The episodes, modern and original, of "Monsters on Maple Street" had differences, but followed the same plot line.
