The mean (SD) age was 31.5 (24.8) years; the age groups 5-9 years and 10-14 years received 17.6% and 15.1% of the services, respectively. There were 1124 (33%) men and 1295 (38%) women (n = 988 with missing sex data). Women were more likely (all P less then .05) to receive preventive services, diagnostic services, restorative services, general services, endodontics and periodontics. Men were more likely (both P less then .05) to receive oral surgery and prosthodontics. There are many rural and remote people required to travel more than 60 minutes by vehicle to access dental care. Conclusion Without increasing dental provision and preventive services in rural areas, it seems likely that there are and will be unnecessary oral emergencies and hospitalisations. This work describes betanodavirus infection in two species of groupers (family Serranidae) from the Algerian coast the dusky grouper Epinephelus marginatus and the golden grouper Epinephelus costae. At necropsy, characteristic clinical signs, external injuries, clouded eyes and brain congestion, generally associated with viral encephalopathy and retinopathy (VER) infection were observed. The partial sequences of RNA1 and RNA2 from two viral strains were obtained, and the phylogenetic analysis revealed the presence of the red-spotted grouper nervous necrosis virus (RGNNV) genotype closely related to strains previously detected in groupers in the same geographic area. Results obtained in this study support the hypothesis that VER disease is endemic in the Algerian grouper population. The emergence of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2; previously provisionally named 2019 novel coronavirus or 2019-nCoV) disease (COVID-19) in China at the end of 2019 has caused a global pandemic and remains as a major public health issue This article is protected by copyright. Atomically thin graphene sheets serve as folding hinges during a process of 2D to 3D conversion via a deterministic buckling process. The exceptional mechanical properties of graphene enable the controlled, geometric transformation of a 2D precursor bonded at selective sites on a prestretched elastomer into folded 3D microstructures, in a reversible manner without adverse effects on the electrical properties. Experimental and computational investigations of the folding mechanisms for such types of 3D objects reveal the underlying physics and the dependence of the process on the thickness of the graphene/supporting films that define the hinges. Objective Public health nursing courses typically incorporate clinical components but rarely offer simulation education as part of clinical practice. There is limited research examining the impact of simulation for public health nursing courses on final exam scores. The objective of this study was to determine the impact of simulation training on final exam scores in a public health nursing course. Design Public health scenarios were created to provide hands-on experience in two settings. Home and school environments were used with discussion of students' performance during debriefing. Sample Using a convenience sample, final exam scores were compared between nursing students (n = 79) who participated in a public health nursing simulation and two similar student groups (n = 97) that did not participate in simulation. Results Students with simulation training scored higher in both public health domains (Community Health; Clinical Prevention and Population Health). A significant difference in total mean final scores (p = .04; p = .02) was noted between groups of students with simulation training and those without. Conclusion The difference in mean final scores suggests that simulation may be an effective educational modality in preparing students toward their state board or end of semester exams.Contrast-enhanced voiding urosonography (CE-VUS) has been generally considered as a promising tool to diagnose vesicoureteral reflux and abnormalities in lower urinary tract in human patients, especially in children. The purpose of this prospective study is to evaluate the quality of images of the urinary bladder and urethra obtained by CE-VUS using a second-generation ultrasound contrast agent (SonoVue®) in healthy dogs and to investigate the safety profile of SonoVue® after intravesical administration. Eighty-four CE-VUS examinations with SonoVue® were successfully performed in both unsedated (39/84) and sedated (45/84) dogs. Contrast-enhanced voiding urosonography examination of urinary bladder was technically successful in all (84/84) dogs. The image quality was not considered adequate in five (5/84) dogs including three dogs in whom layering of contrast media during filling phase was observed and two dogs with premature destruction of microbubbles. In these five dogs, the problem was readily recognized and corrected such that the procedure was still successfully undertaken. The assessment of the urethra during spontaneous micturition was successfully performed in all (84/84) dogs in whom voiding was elicited during the examination. No side effects were observed after intravesical application of SonoVue®. This study demonstrates that CE-VUS is a feasible and valuable technique to evaluate low urinary tract morphology and function in dogs. Based on our review of the literature, there are no published reports about the use of this method in dogs. Background and purpose Brain edema after acute cerebral lesions may lead to raised intracranial pressure (ICP) and worsen outcome. Notwithstanding, no CT-based scoring system to quantify edema formation exists. This retrospective correlative analysis aimed to establish a valid and definite CT score quantifying brain edema after common acute cerebral lesions. Methods A total of 169 CT investigations in 60 patients were analyzed traumatic brain injury (TBI; n = 47), subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH; n = 70), intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH; n = 42), and ischemic stroke (n = 10). Edema formation was classified as 0 no edema, 1 focal edema confined to 1 lobe, 2 unilateral edema > 1 lobe, 3 bilateral edema, 4 global edema with disappearance of sulcal relief, and 5 global edema with basal cisterns effacement. ICP and Glasgow Outcome Score (GOS) were correlated to edema formation. Results Median ICP values were 12.0, 14.0, 14.9, 18.2, and 25.9 mm Hg in grades 1-5, respectively. Edema grading significantly correlated with ICP (r = .
