aline hydrochloride tablets could effectively relieve the depression state in patients with CRD, and the curative effect is better than sertraline hydrochloride tablets alone. The mechanism may be related to regulating the expression of immune-related cytokines.
To compare the therapeutic effect of acupuncture combined with wheat-grain moxibustion and oral fluoxetine hydrochloride capsule on perimenopausal depression with kidney deficiency and liver depression.
A total of 60 patients of perimenopausal depression with kidney deficiency and liver depression were randomized into an observation group and a control group, 30 cases in each one. Acupuncture combined with wheat-grain moxibustion were adopted in the observation group. Acupuncture was applied at Baihui (GV 20), Yintang (GV 29), Fengchi (GB 20), etc. for 30 min. Wheat-grain moxibustion was applied at Ganshu (BL 18), Shenshu (BL 23), Mingmen (GV 4) and Yongquan (KI 1), 3 moxa-cones for each acupoint. The treatment in the observation group was given once every 2 days, 3 times a week. Fluoxetine hydrochloride capsule was given orally in the control group, 20 mg each time, once a day. Treatment for 8 weeks was required in the both groups. The scores of Hamilton depression scale (HAMD) and modified Kupperman sca oral fluoxetine hydrochloride capsule.
To compare the therapeutic effect on type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) complicated with angina pectoris of coronary heart disease between the combined therapy of acupuncture and western medication and the simple administration of western medication.
A total of 134 patients with T2DM and angina pectoris of coronary heart disease were randomly divided into two groups, i.e. an acupuncture plus medication group (67 cases, 3 cases dropped off) and a medication group (67 cases, 4 cases dropped off). The routine western medication was used according to symptoms in the patients of both groups. In the acupuncture plus medication group, on the base of medication, acupuncture was applied to Jianshi (PC 5), Quchi (LI 11), Neiguan (PC 6), etc. The needles were retained for 20 min in each treatment and 3 treatments of acupuncture were required weekly. The treatment was given consecutively for 8 weeks in the two groups. Separately, before and after treatment, the symptom scores of TCM were observed and the indexes were deon, cardiac function and myocardial blood supply. Its curative effect is better than the simple administration of western medicine.
To compare the curative effect on diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D) between acupuncture for regulating
and strengthening spleen and pinaverium bromide, and explore the relevant mechanism of curative effect of acupuncture in view of polymorphism of 5-hydroxytryptamine transporter gene-linked polymorphic region (5-HTTLPR).
A total of 231 patients with IBS-D were randomized into an acupuncture group (154 cases) and a western medication group (77 cases) at the ratio of 2 to 1. In the acupuncture group, acupuncture was applied to acupoint regimen for regulating
and strengthening spleen, i.e. Baihui (GV 20), Yintang (GV 29), Tianshu (ST 25), Shangjuxu (ST 37) and Zusanli (ST 36), etc. The treatment was given once every 2 days, 3 times a week. In the western medication group, pinaverium bromide was prescribed for oral administration, 50 mg each time, 3 times daily. The duration of treatment was 6 weeks in each group. Separately, before treatment, after treatment and in 3-month follow-upmorphism, in which, the curative effect of acupuncture may be more effective in the patients with LS and SS genotypes.
Acupuncture for regulating shen and strengthening spleen achieves the more curative effect on IBS-D as compared with pinaverium bromide. The acupuncture regimen effectively relieves the clinical symptoms and improves the quality of life in patients as well as presents a satisfactory long-term effect and safety. The clinical curative effect of acupuncture is correlated with 5-HTTLPR polymorphism, in which, the curative effect of acupuncture may be more effective in the patients with LS and SS genotypes.Professor LIANG Fan-rong's team from Chengdu University of TCM published Acupuncture as adjunctive therapy for chronic stable angina a randomized clinical trial in JAMA Internal Medicine on July 29, 2019, which demonstrates that acupuncture as an adjunctive therapy is safety and effective for mild and moderate chronic stable angina. Sixteen experts at home and abroad conducted serious discussions on the research design, evaluation methods, principles and mechanisms, clinical significance and enlightenment of future acupuncture research, and provided practical suggestions for acupuncture and moxibustion to go global and gain international recognition.Diabetes mellitus is a global health problem affecting 422 million people worldwide, of which 34.2 million live in the United States alone. Complications due to diabetes can lead to considerable morbidity and mortality related to both microvascular and macrovascular disease. While glycosylated hemoglobin testing is the standard test utilized to evaluate glycemic control, emerging targets like "time in range" and "glycemic variability" often provide more accurate assessments of glycemic fluctuations and have implications for diabetes complications and quality of life. Patients with diabetes face considerable burdens of self-care including frequent glucose monitoring, multiple insulin injections, dietary management, and the need to track daily activities, all of which lead to reduced adherence and psychological burnout. Finerenone in vitro From the provider perspective, limited patient data and access to self-management tools lead to treatment inertia and a reduced ability to help patients achieve and maintain their glycemic goals. In the past few decades, there have been considerable advances in treatment-based technology and technological applications designed to help reduce patient burden and provide tools for better self-management. These advances make real-time clinical data available for clinicians to make necessary changes in treatment regimens. In this review, we discuss the latest emerging technologies available for the management of people with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
