8% vs. 67.8%, p = .032). In addition, patients without infection demonstrated lower complete procedural success rates (90.7% vs. see more 97.2%, p = .004), higher major complication rates (2.4% vs. 0.5%, p = .31) and longer procedural times (136 ± 13 vs. 111 ± 15 min, p = .001).

Our data demonstrate high procedural efficacy and safety and indicate that in patients with noninfective indications, the procedure is more demanding, thus supporting the hypothesis that leads infection dissolves and/or prohibits the formation of fibrotic adherences.

The green mirid bug Apolygus lucorum is a dominant pest species on multiple crops over a wide area in northern China. However, the combined effect of photoperiod and temperature on diapause induction in this species across different latitudes is not clear. Thus, the combined effects of temperature (17-29 °C) and photoperiod (1113 h to 159 h light/dark) on diapause induction for seven geographic populations, collected at latitudes between 30.47°N and 38.30°N, were investigated.

A model, I = (15 - p)/(30 - p - 1.923(t - 16)
+ 0.4499 t - 0.015 L - 19.5389) was established to predict diapause incidence (I) using photophase (p), temperature (t) and latitude (L). In most cases, the diapause incidence predicted by the model was within or close to the 95% confidence interval estimated from independently observed field data.

Diapause incidence in A. lucorum was influenced nonlinearly by temperature and photoperiod across different latitudes. The model established in this study is valid for predicting diapause incidence in this pest over a wide area in northern China, and thus can be incorporated into an areawide population dynamic model of this pest. © 2020 Society of Chemical Industry.

A comprehensive literature search was carried out in the following electronic databases, PubMed, Scopus, Embase, Google Scholar, Directory of Open Access Journals and Cochrane electronic databases. Keywords including cervical ectopic pregnancy, medical treatment, conservative management, successful interventions, uterine artery embolization and hysteroscopy were used to search these various databases. There are different successful CP management interventions reported in the literature varied from simple to complex regimens according to the patient situation, obstetrician experience and availability of health services. These approaches were categorized in a stepwise diagram and a proposed algorithm. Up till now, there is no consensus regarding the optimal CP management. To the best of knowledge, this review was unprecedented in organizing and categorizing the different successful CP management interventions. The proposed currently undertaken stepwise approach diagram and algorithm highlights the rapidly changing management of CP and open the door for further meta-analysis.One major factor that contributes to the virulence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa is its ability to reside and replicate unchallenged inside airway epithelial cells. The mechanism by which P. aeruginosa escapes destruction by intracellular host defense mechanisms, such as autophagy, is not known. Here, we show that the type III secretion system effector protein ExoS facilitates P. aeruginosa survival in airway epithelial cells by inhibiting autophagy in host cells. Autophagy inhibition is independent of mTOR activity, as the latter is also inhibited by ExoS, albeit by a different mechanism. Deficiency of the critical autophagy gene Atg7 in airway epithelial cells, both in vitro and in mouse models, greatly enhances the survival of ExoS-deficient P. aeruginosa but does not affect the survival of ExoS-containing bacteria. The inhibitory effect of ExoS on autophagy and mTOR depends on the activity of its ADP-ribosyltransferase domain. Inhibition of mTOR is caused by ExoS-mediated ADP ribosylation of RAS, whereas autophagy inhibition is due to the suppression of autophagic Vps34 kinase activity.
Pregnancy is a hypercoagulability state, the aim of this study was to observe the changes of thrombin-antithrombin complex (TAT), thrombomodulin (TM), tissue plasminogen activator-inhibitor complex (tPAI-C) and plasmin-α2-antiplasmin complex (PIC) during pregnancy and establish trimester-specific reference intervals for Chinese healthy pregnant women.

In total 190 Chinese healthy pregnant women (first trimester 59 cases, second trimester 60 cases and third trimester 71 cases) were recruited in North China. TAT, TM, tPAI-C and PIC were processed on Sysmex HISCL 5000 automated chemiluminescence immune detection system. Trimester-specific reference intervals were established with the 2.5th and 97.5th percentile of the distribution.

The reference intervals for TAT, TM, tPAI-C, PIC at trimester 1 were 0.40-3.65 ng/mL, 4.85-8.80 TU/mL, 1.75-6.40 ng/mL, 0.25-1.05 μg/mL, respectively. At trimester 2, the reference intervals were 1.65-8.61 ng/mL, 5.70-9.93 TU/mL, 2.91-7.71 ng/mL, 0.33-2.02 μg/mL, respectively. At trimester 3, the reference intervals were 3.16-12.68 ng/mL, 5.50-14.24 TU/mL, 2.70-10.69 ng/mL, 0.24-1.54 μg/mL, respectively.

The changes of TAT, TM, tPAI-C, PIC during pregnancy are presented, and trimester-specific reference intervals for healthy pregnant women are described. The levels of TAT, TM, tPAI-C were increased gradually from trimester 1 to trimester 3, while the PIC level remains stable during all trimesters.
