Its not that they didn't care.
They just didn't care enough.
They didn't care about all the stuff
The rough,
and complicated... situation
Between you and me I knew we'd never make it.
I just couldn't take it.
Tried a 1000 times to break it.
Shake it.
Couldn't let her go.
Cause Lord knows I never feel this way its...
To say it's....
Ok its just the way they made me feel whenever I made them smile.
The way they'd make me wanna drive that extra mile.
Ok even when they'd annoy me so much.
Annoy me to the point where if it were anyone else.
Sorry could never be enough.
I could think about it for a second...
Just a second that's all it took...
Just to accept the fact that they were worth every annoying possible scenario in the book.
For what it's worth.
I really cared. And for me that's rare.
Commiting to someone in this day and age is so taboo.
Its sad but true.
Weather it's me or you.
Feels like it 100% likely that someone will fall through.
Every little hole.
Traps...
your heart and soul.
Scrap our every goal.
That road trip you planned.
Wanted to see the sights.
Its like you had the next six months mapped out
Now what to do with your life?
It was over before it got too old.
Now your hurting.
Man nothing could be OK?
Are you crazy? I spent all my free time with her. Like night and day.
Blue sky. Red sky. Gray.
Listen to whatever that they would say.
Now they just run away.
And it's you that just had to pay.
Cause when a heart breaks nah it don't break even.
I know that you are grieving,
But your brains deceiving.
That's not why they're leaving.
Stop over thinking.
Stop with all your drinking.
You're better than that.
You deserve better!
Maybe they left you through text.
Shit maybe a phone call or a letter.
Maybe you didn't get an explanation.
God forbid.
Who knew all along you were dating someone who was mentally still a kid.

The maturity conversation.
It just HAD... to come up...
What a silly thought.
Why do we always have to place the blame.
We both made mistakes.
This isn't a game.
No winners. No loser's. .
Just two people livin in the hell of a world.
Just a boy and a girl.
Looking for something.
God help us. Everybody.
All looking for loving.
In a world where sex is passed around like a joint.
Its not even special.
We've all had our first times with the wrong guys. Or girls.
Its not fair. But it's OK...
They didn't leave cause they hate you.
They didn't leave cause your worthless.
They left cause they were scared of how much you could care.
How strongly you felt.
They don't know any better.
We accept the love we think we deserve.
Trust me someday you'll get her.
And some day you'll forget him.
Only time will tell.
I know for the moment your bedroom feels like your own little hell.
But trust me your strong.
And soooo not alone.
There's millions of people breaking up, losing hope.
But don't be afraid to trust the next one.
I know it sounds corny.
Shit they could be the best one.
The one you could never say you treated "too good"
Cause they always appreciated the way you so effortlessly stood.
Up for them when they needed. Needed you most.
They'll hear you out when you're speaking.
I know that's what matters most.
Hold on to them tightly.
That's really rare.
That's a delicate package.
Handle it with tender love and care.
Even though you gave them all of you..
And they gave it back to you.
They just werent ready.
They didn't deserve you.
Atleast not right now.
They gotta make their own mistakes.
If they young and they dumb.
Then their heart will soon break.
And they'll realize what they lost.
Its a tragedy its true.
And That's not something to wish for.
I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
And this poem might be corny
But my heart's filled with empathy.
Cause I got sisters. I got friends.
Their hardships affected me.
I hope this poem makes you feel better.
