Our results suggest metformin use for longer durations may be protective of NIU onset.Purpose To present a patient with Rosai-Dorfman Disease (RDD), a histiocytic proliferative disorder typified by lymphadenopathy with rare ocular manifestations, who developed panuveitis that responded to pegylated interferon.Methods Descriptive case report of a patient with RDD with multi-organ involvement including ocular manifestations including bilateral panuveitis with choroidal masses.Results A 54-year-old African American woman with known systemic RDD of the breast, lung, and gastrointestinal tract presented with panuveitis with choroidal masses in both eyes. Her systemic and ocular disease initially responded well to oral and topical steroid therapy. Later, however, her systemic disease progressed with multiple muscular and bony lesions. Systemic therapy was switched to pegylated interferon, a cytokine with antiviral, antitumor and immunomodulatory activity. After 14 months of therapy with pegylated interferon, the patient's systemic and ocular disease stabilized.Conclusion Rosai-Dorfman disease may be complicated by panuveitis and choroidal masses that may respond to pegylated interferon with stabilization of systemic and ocular manifestations. A multi-disciplinary approach is essential given the unique diagnostic and management challenges of RDD.
This study aims to compare and analyze the clinical features, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of culture-negative and culture-positive primary pyogenic spondylitis.

In a retrospective analysis, 202 cases of adult primary pyogenic spondylitis with complete clinical data in our hospital from January 2013 to January 2020 were divided into two groups according to bacterial culture results culture negative (
 = 126) and culture positive (
 = 76). We compare the clinical characteristics, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of patients with different culture results.

The culture positive rate was 37.62% (76/202). There were no significant differences in age, gender, affected segment, spinal abscess, diabetes mellitus, course of disease, surgery, recurrence, and follow-up time between the two groups (
>.05). There were statistically significant differences in hospital admission erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), admission C-reactive protein (CRP), admission white blood cell (WBC) count, discharge ESRess then .05). The independent risk factors for infection recurrence are higher CRP levels in hospital admission, antibiotic treatment time less then 6 weeks, and body temperature ≥ 38 °C.
5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is a widely used chemotherapeutic agent that can cause cardiotoxicity manifesting, among others, as chest pain. We performed a PubMed search on 31st May 2020. We used a three keyword search strategy using Boolean search operators. More specifically, we included fluorouracil or 5-FU or capecitabine and chest pain or angina and mechanism or treatment or management. We included primary reports of clinical and non-clinical data, as well as systematic reviews. Narrative reviews, expert opinions, letters to the editor and other forms of non-primary literature were excluded.

Our search yielded a total of 1595 reports. Of these, 1460 were narrative reviews or irrelevant to the topic and were excluded. A total of 135 reports were used for our review. We used 81 reports for data extraction, which included 13 clinical trials, 4 retrospective reports, 61 case reports, and 3 systematic reviews.

We report the incidence and predisposing factors, the value of available diagnostic procedures, and standard medical and invasive treatments. We also speculate on the potential benefit of arginine as a promising option both in prevention as well as treatment of 5-FU-induced chest pain. Finally, gaps of evidence are identified and proposals are made in terms of future research.

Many researchers have proposed multivariate analysis for human accommodation. However, no multivariate anthropometric analysis exists for the Mexican population. This study compares common multivariate human accommodation approaches (e.g. principal component and archetypal analyses) and clustering techniques (e.g. k-means and Ward's algorithm) with the classical percentile-based univariate accommodation approach, using the Chi-squared goodness-of-fit test and the McNemar's test. The theoretical accommodation percentage obtained by multivariate approaches was higher than those obtained by the percentile univariate approach considering the central 98% data. k-means and archetypal analysis obtained similar and the highest accommodation values, followed by Ward's algorithm and principal component analysis. This study was experimentally carried out as a methodological, randomized controlled trial for the designing of clothes for KC. Data were collected using the "Parent and Newborn Information Form", "KC Comfort Scale" and "Newborn Comfort Behavior Scale (Comfort-Neo)". The body temperature, heart rate, oxygen saturation, respiration rate parameters of the newborns were evaluated. The data were transferred to the IBM SPSS Statistics 23 program and evaluated.
