Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) has disrupted pharmacy practice. Little research has been done to assess how COVID-19 has affected pharmacists' employment, workload, and feelings of burnout.

The objectives of this study were to characterize the impact of COVID-19 on pharmacists' employment status, workload, and feelings of burnout, as well as to examine emotional health concerns related to COVID-19.

Wisconsin pharmacists were surveyed using an online instrument between August 25, 2020, and September 22, 2020. The data analysis, performed in December 2020, examined employment status, 3 common burnout risk factors (workload, rewards, and social depersonalization), and emotional health concerns related to COVID-19.

Of the 1300 pharmacists, 439 completed the survey (33.8%). The study analysis included pharmacists in community (n = 127) and hospital or health system (n = 107) settings. With regard to employment changes and workload, hospital pharmacists (36%) were more likely to have their hours reduce domains related to workload, rewards, and depersonalization were negatively affected by COVID-19. Outpatient antibiotic prescriptions drive antibiotic overuse in humans, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has identified community pharmacies as potential partners in outpatient stewardship efforts. Clinical decision support (CDS) tools can potentially be used at community pharmacies to aid in outpatient stewardship efforts.

We sought to determine community pharmacist attitudes toward using a computerized CDS tool to evaluate and manage common complaints and thus promote appropriate antibiotic prescribing.

We conducted in-depth semistructured interviews of community pharmacists to determine attitudes toward using CDS tools in their practice and identify potential barriers in implementation. Thematic analysis was used to identify common themes and subthemes in the pharmacist responses.

We interviewed 21 pharmacists and identified 5 themes and 14 subthemes in our interviews. The pharmacists reported that patients frequently presented with complaints of acute infections and that they (thortive of using CDS tools to evaluate patients and promote antimicrobial stewardship. These results suggest that it would be feasible to pilot such an intervention in the community pharmacy setting.

This systematic review was conducted to investigate whether patient characteristics have an influence in the clinical outcomes of MPFL reconstruction for patients with patellofemoral instability.

This study followed the PRISMA guidelines. The main databases were accessed in February 2021. All the studies reporting outcomes of primary MPFL reconstruction in patients with recurrent patellofemoral instability were considered for inclusion. A multivariate analysis diagnostic tool was used to analyse the association between age, gender and time from injury to surgery and the surgical outcomes at last follow-up.
