Playing in high school in their early 50s, we didn't have any face masks at mostly. My senior year our coach made the purchase face mask for our star back, Roger Mahnke. He used it for one game. At the end of that game, Roger's face was scratched up via the defensive players reaching straight to pull him down while mask. The Mules lost to Wake Forrest this week as projected. The Deacons gave their offense the day off, allowing special teams and defense to score the elements. Army went down 21-10 in this one to improve their record to 1-2. Army better begin setting expectations in this weekend as being the Knights start on a ranked BC Eagles squad can be on a 3-0 roll after knocking off the G Tech Wrecks.
