Adding OA in the food modified the probability that foragers switch from nectar to pollen collection. The proportion of pollen foragers also increased after feeding colonies with OA-containing food. Furthermore, the expression level of the AmoctαR1 was upregulated in foragers arriving at pollen sources compared with those arriving at sugar-water feeders. Using age-matched pollen and nectar foragers that returned to the hive, we detected an upregulated expression of a TYR receptor gene in the suboesophageal ganglia. These findings support our prediction that OA signalling affects the decision in honeybee foragers to collect pollen or nectar.
Continuous negative extra-thoracic pressure (CNEP) can prevent children with apnea developing severe respiratory infection with endotracheal intubation. Little is known about children with mild acute respiratory disease, especially with a focus on clinical respiratory symptoms.
We conducted a prospective, observational study between July 2014 and July 2017 to evaluate the safety of a modified setting of CNEP in hospitalized children with symptoms of chest wall retraction or nasal alar breathing without the requirement for immediate intubation therapy in a single center. A modified setting of CNEP was defined as 4 hours of treatment that comprised 3 consecutive hours of CNEP followed by 1 hour of rest.
We studied 19 hospitalized children with retraction or nasal breathing but no possible state of endotracheal intubation. The median age at admission was 0.9 years and the duration of CNEP was 6 days. No sedative drugs were used. The percentage of children with retraction or nasal breathing after 24 hours from initiation of CNEP was significantly decreased compared with that just before CNEP (68% vs 100%, p=0.02). Logistic regression showed no statistical evidence of contributing factors for pulmonary symptoms. While no patients were transferred to receive intubation, one boy re-initiated respiratory support within 6 months after discharge. No children had adverse events of upper airway obstruction, skin injury, interfering with access, hypothermia, discomfort from fitting a cuirass, and neck excoriation.
Our results suggest that a modified setting of CNEP management can be tolerated and continued without concern of adverse events.

In the present study, we sought to explore the incidence, risk factors, and clinical impact of peridevice leaks (PDLs), following LAmbre-assisted left atrial appendage closure (LAAC).
We performed transesophageal echocardiography(TEE) on patients participating in the LAmbre multicenter study, at Day 1 postimplantation, then at 3 and 12 months to assess PDL, device-related thrombus, left atrial appendage (LAA) thrombus, and left atrial thrombus. Clinical events were recorded during follow-up.
A total of 152 patients with atrial fibrillationsuccessfully completed LAAC. Proteasome cleavage At 3 months follow-up, 123 patients underwent TEE, with 21 (17%) of them presenting PDL. Among the 121 patients who underwent TEE at 12 months follow-up, 19 (15.7%) presented PDL. Patients with PDL exhibited larger LAA orifice diameters and larger device sizes compared to those in the no leak group. In addition, we found no significant differences in thromboembolic events between patients in the PDL and no leak groups.

At present, there is no reliable method to screen for communication difficulties at age 18-months in the Swedish child health care. This study examined the psychometric properties of the Communication and Symbolic Behavior Scales Developmental Profile Infant-Toddler Checklist (ITC) when used at the 18-month visit in the child healthcare setting.
Children aged 16-20months (n=679) were screened. Children were referred for an assessment if they screened positive screen or if the parent or nurse was concerned about the child's communicative development. Two groups of positive screens were used in the analysis (n=78 children), one based on the ITC result, and one combining the ITC with contradicting information from the nurses' informal clinical assessment.
The AUC ranged from 0.68 to 0.84. The sensitivity was 0.85, and the specificity was 0.59. When the ITC result was combined with the nurses' information, sensitivity increased to 0.88 and specificity to 0.63. The internal consistency was moderate to high, and fit indices were satisfactory.
The results suggest that the ITC can be used to identify children in need of interventions to enhance communication at 18months of age, especially in combination with the nurse's assessment.

Controversies regarding the NRR mechanism greatly impede its optimization and wide applications. To understand the electrocatalytic process, we treated Au coated carbon fibrous paper (Au/CP) as the model catalyst. In situ XRD confirmed the transformation of lithium intermediates during NRR. Au greatly improved electron transfer kinetics to catalyze metallic Li formation, and accordingly highly accelerated spontaneous NRR. The Faradaic efficiency of NRR on Au/CP reached 34.0 %, and NH3 yield was as high as 50 μg h-1 cm-2 . Our research shows that the key step of Li-mediated non-aqueous NRR is electrocatalytic Li reduction and offers a novel electrocatalyst design method for Li reduction.
