This study explores the awareness and quarantine strategy whether the technique is effective or not to monitor the affecting rate of COVID-19. In addition to explore the awareness and quarantine, the effectiveness of knowledge regarding the symptoms of SARS CoV-2 to reducing the affecting rate is also examined. A total of 264 samples were used by a self-administered questionnaire. The findings of the study indicate that cough, fever, diarrhea and weakness are the common symptoms of the disease which knowledge on them significantly influences to control the affecting rate of COVID-19. The study also indicates that awareness and quarantine mediate the significant positive relationship between the symptoms of the disease and its affecting rate. The results of the study could contribute as a guideline for the patient, community, decision-maker of a particular country to monitoring the affecting rate and for a researcher as an opportunity for further study.The aim of this study is to reveal universities students' perspective and understand their preferences on distance learning, due to the change happened on education process as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and universities lockdown. This shift in education from traditional classroom learning to distance learning might be one of the largest educational experiments to date. As the online learning process has become more prevalent in UAE due to COVID-19 pandemic, it becomes particularly important to understand students' experiences, and most important revealing their perspective and preferences. This research was therefore designed to understand the student's perspective, challenges, and attitudes about distance learning being conducted at the University. The study employed a descriptive survey. The data was collected using online questionnaire. The present study was carried out amongst students at University of Dubai. Using simple random sampling technique for the study, 133 responses were collected. The results showed that 55% of the students liked distance learning. The analysis revealed 26% would like to study 100% online, while majority of students 49% are in favor of studying through blended learning system which is combination of online and in-class, therefore, Ministry of Education should develop certain rules and guidelines wherein universities are urged to continue offering blended learning system.To combat the fast-moving spread of the pandemic we need an equally speedy and powerful tool. On the forefront against COVID-19, for example, AI technology has become a digital armament in the development of new drugs, vaccines, diagnostic methods, and forecasting programs. Patenting these new, nonobvious, and efficient technological solutions is a critical step in fostering the research and development, the huge investments as well as the commercial processes. This article considers the challenges of the current patent law as they apply to AI inventions in general and especially in the age of a global pandemic. The article proposes a novel solution to the hurdles of patenting AI technology by establishing a new patent track model for AI inventions (including the inventions that are made by AI systems and creative AI systems themselves). Unlike other publications promoting either complete abandonment of AI related patents, or advocating to maintain current patent laws, or recommending minor adjustment to pateall the concerns while maintaining the patent incentive for innovations. selleckchem Our model also suggests an expedited examination with the aid of AI tools and a shortened patent lifetime in light of the fast AI development and technology elimination speed. The article concludes with the hope to harness AI technology for the wellbeing of humanity, in general and especially during tough times in the current COVID-19 era and in general.SARS-CoV-2 infection can lead to acute respiratory syndrome in patients, which can be due in part to dysregulated immune signalling.We analyze here the occurrences of CpGdinucleotides, which are putative pathogen-associated molecular patterns, along the viral sequence.Carrying out a comparative analysis with other ssRNA viruses and within the Coronaviridaefamily, we find the CpG content of SARS-CoV-2, while low compared to other betacoronaviruses, widely fluctuates along its primary sequence. While the CpG relative abundance and its associated CpG force parameterare low for the spike protein (S) and comparable to circulating seasonal coronaviruses such as HKU1, they are much greater and comparable to SARS and MERS for the 3'-end of the viral genome. In particular, the nucleocapsid protein (N), whose transcripts are relatively abundant in the cytoplasm of infected cells and present in the 3'UTRs of all subgenomic RNA, has high CpG content.We speculate this dual nature of CpG content can confer to SARS-CoV-2 high ability to both enter the host and trigger pattern recognition receptors (PRRs) in different contexts. We then investigate the evolution of synonymous mutations since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a new application of selective forces on dinucleotides to estimate context driven mutational processes, we find that synonymous mutations seem driven both by the viral codon bias and by the high value of the CpG force in the N protein, leading to a loss in CpG content. Sequence motifs preceding these CpG-loss-associated loci match recently identified binding patterns of the Zinc Finger anti-viral Protein (ZAP) protein.
