NMR metabolomics involving renal cancer: an overview.
The results indicated that MC4R rs17782313 SNP was moderately associated with cancer risk (odds ratio = 1.12, 95% CI = 1.01-1.24). However, the subgroup analysis between different cancer types shows that rs17782313 is only associated with colorectal cancer but not the endometrial cancer and breast cancer. Risk factor in colorectal cancer was both significantly associated with rs17782313 with and without adjustment for body mass index; while the risk factor of the endometrial cancer and breast cancer were both not associated with the rs17782313 with and without adjustment for body mass index. There was no publication bias for the association between MC4R rs17782313 and cancer risk.

The present meta-analysis confirmed the moderate association between MC4R rs17782313 and cancer risk.

As the self-administration of coffee enema is being used as a mean of self-care for detoxication in various indications, it is important that evidence-based public health information is provided for effective and safe use. However, the evidence is so far rare. This systematic review was conducted to investigate the safety and effectiveness of self-administered coffee enema in a wide range of use, and to provide evidence about its benefits and risks.

Relevant studies were retrieved from Ovid MEDLINE, Ovid Embase, the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials, and the Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature; and also from oriental databases, KoreaMed, Korean Medical Database, Korean Studies Information Service System, National Discovery for Science Leaders, and Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information, Oriental Medicine Advanced Searching Integrated System, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, and Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator. Considering self-ad

Based on the evidences reviewed, this systematic review does not recommend coffee enema self-administration as a complementary and alternative medicine modality that can be adopted as a mean of self-care, given the unsolved issues on its safety and insufficient evidence with regard to the effectiveness.

Cervical spondylotic myelopathy (CSM) is the most serious type of cervical spondylosis, which is often treated surgically in patients with progressive neurological symptoms following ineffective conservative treatment. However, some patients have residual symptoms such as neck pain, stiffness, and C5 nerve palsy after surgery. The Qishe pill can effectively relieve the symptoms of neck pain and numbness, but there is no evidence showing the efficacy and safety of the Qishe pill in treating symptoms after spinal cord surgery.

A multicenter, randomized controlled clinical trial will be conducted to evaluate the efficacy and safety of the Qishe Pill. A total of 330 patients with CSM who receive surgical treatment will be randomly divided into 2 groups, treated for 12 weeks and with a 1-year follow-up. click here The primary outcome will be Japanese Orthopaedic Association score from the baseline to 4 weeks, 12 weeks, 24 weeks, and 48 weeks after surgery. Secondary outcomes will include Visual Analogue Scale score, Neck Disability Index, and imaging indicators (including magnetic resonance imaging and X-ray). Additionally, adverse reactions will be observed and recorded as safety indicators.

Although the Qishe pill can effectively improve the discomfort of the neck and upper limbs in clinical applications, there is a lack of clinical research on postoperative patients. This study will investigate the efficacy and safety of the Qishe pill in treating postoperative symptoms of CSM.

To assess the clinical efficacy and safety of Zhibitai, as a kind of natural lipid-lowering Chinese medicine, in treating coronary heart disease patients with hyperlipemia METHODS A systematic literature search for articles up to July 2020 will be performed in following electronic databases PubMed, Embase, the Cochrane Library, China National Knowledge Infrastructure, Chinese Scientific Journals Database Database, Chinese Biomedical Database, Chinese Biomedical Literature Service System, and Wanfang Database. Inclusion criteria are randomized controlled trials of Zhibitai applied on coronary heart disease patients with hyperlipemia. The primary outcome measures will be serum lipid levels (including total cholesterol, triglyceride, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol) and acute cardiovascular events. The secondary outcome measures will be inflammatory factors (high sensitive C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, etc), safety index (liver function, renal function, etc),s of Zhibitai applied on coronary heart disease patients with hyperlipemia. The secondary outcome measures will be inflammatory factors (high sensitive C-reactive protein, interleukin-6, etc), safety index (liver function, renal function, etc), and adverse events. RevMan 5.3 software will be used for data synthesis, sensitivity analysis, meta-regression, subgroup analysis, and risk of bias assessment. A funnel plot will be developed to evaluate reporting bias and Egger tests will be used to assess funnel plot symmetries. We will use the grading of recommendations assessment, development, and evaluation system to assess the quality of evidence.Trial registration number PROSPERO CRD42018103341.
Not only has the placement rate of enteral feeding tubes during operations for esophageal cancer increased, but also has number of patients who choose to continue enteral feeding at home instead of removing the feeding tube at discharge. The impacts of home enteral nutrition (HEN) after esophagectomy in esophageal cancer patients are analyzed.

A systematic review was conducted in accordance with PRISMA and Cochrane guidelines. English and Chinese databases, including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, The Cochrane Library, Scopus, CBM, CNKI, and Wan Fang were searched from inception to December 7, 2019. Randomized controlled trials evaluating the short-term outcomes of HEN following esophagectomy in cancer patients were included. The risk of bias of the included studies was appraised according to the Cochrane risk of bias tool. The summary of relative risk/weighted mean difference (WMD) estimates and corresponding 95% confidence interval (95% CI) were calculated using fixed- and random-effects models.

Nine randomized controlled trials involving 757 patients were included in the meta-analysis.
