The use of medicines is an important part in the treatment of ADHD. They do not cure the disorder but can help control symptoms.

Your doctor may recommend specific diet changes to assist in managing ADHD symptoms, and reduce the need for medications. Your doctor might also suggest the use of behavior therapy and training to improve your ability to manage your impulses and manage your life. Combining treatment is typically the most effective method.
