With more intracanalicular vestibular schwannoma (ICVS) diagnosed, treatment options are limited either to wait-and-see or surgery. The transpromontorial and infrapromontorial approaches allow direct route to the fundus of internal auditory canal with certain advantages in preserving facial nerve and even cochlear nerve.

To describe the middle ear corridor approach for ICVS excision.

All transpromontorial and infrapromontorial approaches for ICVS excision were recruited. The surgeries were performed at an otologic center by a single experienced otologist.

Three cases of ICVS Koos Type I were included in this review. Two cases were operated with exclusive endoscopic transcanal transpromontorial approach excision of tumor. One case underwent concurrent transcanal excision of ICVS through infrapromontorial approach with cochlear implantation. Two of them developed facial nerve paresis. The last patient recovered fully with viable cochlear nerve enabling hearing restoration with cochlear implant.

The potential of surgery in ICVS
middle ear approach is a safe and direct route with promising outcome. This approach offers removal of the ICVS without interrupting facial and cochlear nerves. Hence, the preservation of facial function and hearing are possible.

This study aims to develop a measurement tool to determine the attitudes of women with pregnancy and men whose partners were pregnant toward sexuality during pregnancy. As a result of the psychometric analysis, a 34-item, 3-factor scale of attitudes toward sexuality during pregnancy was obtained. Panobinostat The Attitude Scale toward Sexuality during Pregnancy was found as a valid and reliable tool in Turkish women with pregnant and their partners. The scale is brief, easy to understand, administer and score, and demonstrates high internal consistency. Another importance of this scale is that it can be used for men. It may prove useful for researchers and clinicians interested in sexuality.
Flow cytometric (FCM) immunophenotyping of lymphoid tissue aspirates is an available adjunct for feline lymphoma diagnostics. Reference data have only been established for feline peripheral blood. Studies investigating the composition of normal and mildly reactive feline lymph nodes (LNs) are lacking. The aim of this prospective study was to establish reference data for lymphocyte subpopulations in normal and mildly reactive feline peripheral LNs using a standardised multicolour panel of antibodies.

Macroscopically inconspicuous mandibular and/or popliteal LNs from 31 adult cats, which were euthanased for reasons other than haematological diseases, were excised and processed within 5 h after death. Multicolour flow cytometry using eight different feline-specific, anti-canine and human cross-reactive monoclonal antibodies used in current diagnostic marker panels was performed after cytological exclusion of pathological states and complemented by lymphocyte clonality testing, histopathology and immunohistocresented. CD18, CD3, CD14 and CD79αcy have been used to establish reference data for the first time in any feline material.
This study establishes FCM immunophenotyping data of lymphocyte populations of normal and mildly reactive feline peripheral LNs. For the first time, anti-CD5, CD4, CD8 and CD21 reference data in normal and mildly reactive feline peripheral LNs are presented. CD18, CD3, CD14 and CD79αcy have been used to establish reference data for the first time in any feline material.
The aim of this review is to identify how visual occlusion contributes to our understanding of attentional demand and spare visual capacity in driving and the strengths and limitations of the method.

The occlusion technique was developed by John W. Senders to evaluate the attentional demand of driving. Despite its utility, it has been used infrequently in driver attention/inattention research.

Visual occlusion studies in driving published between 1967 and 2020 were reviewed. The focus was on original studies in which the forward visual field was intermittently occluded while the participant was driving.

Occlusion studies have shown that attentional demand varies across situations and drivers and have indicated environmental, situational, and inter-individual factors behind the variability. The occlusion technique complements eye tracking in being able to indicate the temporal requirements for and redundancy in visual information sampling. The proper selection of occlusion settings depends on the target of the research.

Although there are a number of occlusion studies looking at various aspects of attentional demand, we are still only beginning to understand how these demands vary, interact, and covary in naturalistic driving.

The findings of this review have methodological and theoretical implications for human factors research and for the development of distraction monitoring and in-vehicle system testing. Distraction detection algorithms and testing guidelines should consider the variability in drivers' situational and individual spare visual capacity.

The strategies adopted by personal care attendants (PCAs) to deliver quality care when faced with challenges potentially impacting clinical outcomes were assessed using phenomenological methods.

In Australia, recent outcry of unsatisfactory standards of care in residential facilities has instigated a national public inquiry. This study investigated how PCAs adapted to challenges in stressful and ambiguous everyday work scenarios to deliver quality care.

A phenomenological approach was used to obtain insights into PCAs' experiences, perceptions, opinions, and decision processes for enacting care. Ten PCAs working in rural-based residential aged care were interviewed using a novel scenario construction task with thematic and co-occurrence network mapping applied to derive insights.

Seven themes were identified, revealing that participants formed close relationships with residents, influencing care provision but blurring personal boundaries. Key contextual factors in scenarios highlighted inadequate staffing and procedures, inadequate training, challenging residents, time poverty, and low support.
