A series of Mg21 Ca4 Na4 (PO4 )18 Eu2+ -Eu3+ phosphors was successfully synthesized using a high-temperature solid-state method in an air atmosphere. The phase structures and luminescence properties of the samples were studied in detail. Selleckchem AICAR The phosphors exhibited strong visible light emission under different wavelengths of ultraviolet light excitation. By harmonizing the doping concentration of Eu3+ to adjust the relative luminescence intensity of Eu2+ and Eu3+ , a colourful emission of phosphors could be achieved. In addition, the colour coordinates of the International Commission on lighting indicated that Mg21 Ca4 Na4 (PO)18 Eu2+ -Eu3+ could be considered as a potential blue, orange and red phosphor for white light-emitting diode applications.Children with autism spectrum disorder often display deficits in daily living skills. Behavior analysts can use telehealth, such as videoconferencing technology, to deliver interventions to families of these children. Given the COVID-19 pandemic and the common barriers to accessing behavioral interventions, it is imperative to evaluate the effectiveness and practicality of delivering behavioral interventions via telehealth. This study evaluated the efficacy of a parent-implemented intervention with coaching via telehealth to improve daily living skills. Children ranging in age from 5 to 9 years participated in the study with 1 or 2 of their parents serving as the primary implementer(s). Parents implemented the intervention with fidelity and the intervention yielded increases in independent daily living skill completion for all 4 participants.During the coronavirus pandemic, many behavioral health professionals providing psychotherapeutic services, including couple/marriage and family therapists (C/MFTs), quickly changed from providing in-person services to telebehavioral health (TBH) services, with specific reliance on teleconferencing. Many therapists were thrust into telehealth with minimal or no prior telebehavioral health experience, education, or training. Although TBH services have been shown to be effective and efficient with mental health and substance abuse problems, the teaching and learning of telebehavioral competencies have generally not been included in the formal education and training received by C/MFTs. This article presents an existing interprofessional telebehavioral health competencies framework not before published in C/MFT journals. This article will also demonstrate how those competencies are applicable to the education, training, and practice of telebehavioral health by C/MFTs. Implications for educational, service, and regulatory organizations are presented. We assessed the clinical benefit of combining volumetric-modulated arc therapy (VMAT) and hypofractionated radiotherapy (HF-RT) considering the incidence of radiation-related toxicities. After a retrospective review for breast cancer patients treated with adjuvant RT between 2005 and 2017, a total of 4209 patients treated with three-dimensional conventional fractionation (CF-3D, 50.4 Gy/28 fractions) and 1540 patients treated with HF-RT (768 received HF-3D; 772, HF-VMAT; 40 Gy/15 fractions) were included. A total of 2229 patients (38.8%) received regional node irradiation (RNI) 1642 (39.0%), 167 (21.7%) and 420 (54.4%) received RNI via CF-3D, HF-3D and HF-VMAT, respectively. Acute/subacute and late toxicities were evaluated. Propensity scores were calculated via logistic regression. Grade 2+ acute/subacute toxicities was the highest in CF-3D group (15.0%, 2.6% and 1.6% in CF-3D, HF-3D and HF-VMAT, respectively; P less then  .001). HF-VMAT reduced Grade 2+ acute/subacute toxicities significantly compared to CF-3D (odds ratio [OR] 0.11, P less then  .001) and HF-3D (OR 0.45, P = .010). The 3-year cumulative rate of late toxicities was 18.0% (20.1%, 10.9% and 13.4% in CF-3D, HF-3D and HF-VMAT, respectively; P less then  .001). On sensitivity analysis, the benefit of HF-VMAT was high in the RNI group. Acute and late toxicities were fewer after HF-VMAT than after HF-3D or CF-3D, especially in women who underwent RNI.
Breast cancer (BC) is one of the leading causes of cancer mortality in women. Glutathione S-transferase (GSTT1) is involved in activation of detoxification reactions and catalysis of chemicals conjugation with glutathione. GSTT1 genotype is a limiting factor for some environmental diseases. Epigenetic changes have an essential role in BC through inappropriate interaction between genomic and environmental risk factors.

This study was directed to explore the association of BC risk with GSTT1 genetic variations and its methylation status in Egyptian women.

This study included 100 healthy women as the control group and 100 patients were clinically and histologically diagnosed with breast cancer. All blood samples were used for genomic DNA extraction. GSTT1 genotyping was accomplished by multiplex PCR and methylation-specific PCR was used to analyze the GSTT1 promoter methylation status.

Breast cancer patients showed significant incidence of null GSTT1 in relation to controls (p = 0.004). GSTT1 gene promoter methylation status showed significant difference between hypermethylated and unmethylated patients when compared with healthy subjects (p = 0.005). GSTT1 promoter methylation status was not significantly associated with null genotype. There was no significant association between GSTT1-null genotypes and BC stage in cases with or without family history, but for promotor methylation, there was significant association with stage III and IV breast cancer disease.

GSTT1 null genetic variant and promoter hypermethylation in the GSTT region of the gene may be considered as critical risk factors for BC in Egyptian women.

Over the last six decades (earliest included publication from 1959), clinical trials of migraine preventive treatments have led to the regulatory approval of many medications and devices. Despite similar clinical goals, the outcomes and endpoints used in these trials are broad and not well standardized.

To describe results from a systematic literature review focused on outcomes and endpoints used in preventive migraine clinical trials.

A systematic literature review, following a pre-specified (unregistered) protocol developed to adhere to recommendations of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses, was conducted to characterize the endpoints and outcomes used in preventive migraine clinical trials. Predetermined terms were searched in PubMed on October 28, 2019. Data related to trial design, subject characteristics, outcomes, and endpoints reported in each publication were extracted. Descriptive summaries of these features were tabulated for the recent subset of publications, published during or after 1988, that were randomized, blinded, and focused on pharmacological or device therapies for the preventive treatment of migraine.
