Functional imaging using different tracers in addition to conventional imaging are employed in localizing the primary sites, disease extent and lesions characterization. Here is a diagnosed case of MEN-1 syndrome with interesting incidental imaging findings showing 99mTc-sestamibi and 18F-choline uptakes in addition to 68Ga-DOTANOC uptake in metastatic mediastinal and cervical lymph nodes arising from gastro-entro-pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor (GEP NET). This shows the possibility of imaging the NETs with three different tracers namely - 68Ga-DOTANOC, 99mTc-sestamibi and 18F-fluorocholine. Copyright © 2020 by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Inc.The present communication details on the imaging characteristics, peculiarities and response to PSMA targeted 177Lu-PSMA-617 PRLT in accordance with Gleason score and use of dual tracer PET study (68Ga-PSMA-11 and FDG) in patients with urinary bladder invasion/metastasis by prostate cancer, including the prognostic value of FDG-PET in predicting response to treatment. The CT attenuation units (HU) correlated with prostate primary in case of direct tumour extension from prostate, while in hematogenous metastatic seeding the HU was lower than the primary prostatic tumour. A particular point of note was that favorable outcome to 177Lu-PSMA-617 PRLT was observed in patients with lesser or no baseline FDG uptake despite high Gleason score and high risk NCCN prognostic category, and did not correlate with the latter alone, while high SUVmax values on FDG PET-CT was found to be associated with adverse outcome. These findings suggested the promising role of FDG PET-CT in predicting therapeutic outcomes with more confidence, and hence the concept of dual tracer PET appeared to hold good in prostate adenocarcinoma theranostics. Sincalide is a peptide hormone product administered parenterally as an aid for diagnostic imaging of hepatobiliary conditions. With an estimated post-reconstitution shelf-life of 8 hours (updated by the manufacturer in 2014 with limited supporting data) and frequent shortages due to intermittent supply, there is both clinical and economic value in the experimental determination of true chemical stability of this agent. Methods Sincalide was reconstituted and stored at both temperatures (n = 4 each) and samples were collected at pre-determined time points. A validated HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography) analytical method was employed for quantification of the active ingredient in these samples. Results Little to no chemical degradation of sincalide was observed for the duration of study, over 8 days, following reconstitution and storage at room temperature. Copyright © 2020 by the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging, Inc.In this report, we present the [68Ga]Ga-DOTATATE PET-CT images (pre- and post-chemotherapy) of a patient with intermediate grade metastatic neuroendocrine tumor (NET) with intermediate grade/Ki-67 index who had minimal somatostatin receptor positivity at baseline [68Ga]Ga-DOTATATE PET-CT, but had demonstrated high grade positivity on somatostatin receptor imaging (Krenning score III-IV) on follow-up scan after chemotherapy. This 'redifferentiation-akin' phenomenon in intermediate grade NETs following chemotherapy can have potential implications for the feasibility of peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) in this group of patients in their course of disease at a later phase. Granular substrates, such as desert sand, can display complex responses to animal interactions. This complexity has led to locomotor strategies that make use of fluid-like or solid-like features of this substrate, or combinations of the two. Here, we use examples from our work to demonstrate the diverse array of methods used and insights gained in the study of both surface and subsurface limbless locomotion in these habitats. Counterintuitively, these seemingly complex granular environments offer certain experimental, theoretical, robotic and computational advantages for studying terrestrial movement, with the potential for providing broad insights into morphology and locomotor control in fluids and solids, including neuromechanical control templates and morphological and behavioral evolution.
