The use of radiological examination is increasing worldwide. Since radiation exposure can result in many health hazards, medical professionals, as well as medical students, should possess adequate knowledge regarding radiation and its related hazards to protect themselves and the patients. Many studies have assessed medical students' knowledge on this topic, but never in Palestine. In this study, we aimed to examine Palestinian medical students' awareness and knowledge regarding radiological examination modalities and their risks on themselves and their patients.

This was an observational, cross-sectional, population-based study, conducted to assess the awareness of radiation exposure and its risks among Palestinian medical students. An online questionnaire was implemented on medical students at An-Najah National University. A total knowledge score that ranged from 0 to 22 was calculated for each participant, with higher scores indicating better knowledge regarding radiation doses and the related hazards.regarding knowledge on radiation.
There are limited data on awareness of cervical cancer risk factors and symptoms among refugee populations living in Uganda. In this study, we sought to determine the awareness and knowledge of cervical cancer risk factors and symptoms among women in Palabek refugee settlement, northern Uganda.

We conducted a cross-sectional study. 815 women (aged 18-60 years) were randomly selected using multistage sampling in Palabek refugee settlement. Data were collected using pre-tested, structured questionnaires. Logistic regression models were used to determine magnitudes of association between socio-demographic and health system factors, and knowledge on cervical cancer risk factors and symptoms.

The majority of participants (53%, n = 433) were young (18-29 years), married (68%, n = 553), and did not have formal employment (93%, n = 759). Less than half (40%, n = 325) had heard of cervical cancer. Of those who had heard, most recognized multiple male sexual partners, early onset of sexual intercourse and HPV infms appraisal. Single women and those who lived more than one kilometre from nearest health facility in home country could be a priority group for awareness intervention in the settlement.

Gastric cancer (GC) incidence and mortality are rapidly growing worldwide. It is estimated that more than 1,000,000new cases are diagnosed each year, and more than 78,000 people lose their lives due to GC. The association between dietary antioxidants and GC has been shown in some studies. However, because of the discrepancy between the findings and the lack of a valid indicator, it seems necessary to design and validate the Dietary Antioxidant Index (DAI) to examine the diet's total antioxidant content. The present study aimed to survey the validity of DAI and its association with the odds of GC.

In this hospital-based case-control study, 82 patients with GC and 95 healthy controls were examined. We used a 168-item food frequency questioner to assess dietary intakes. The DAI was calculated based on the intake of vitamin A, C, E, and selenium, manganese, and zinc. We standardized each of the six vitamins and minerals by subtracting the global mean and dividing by the global standard deviation to calculate assessments, and it can be used as a predictor of antioxidant status due to its correlation with serum antioxidant levels. The results showed that dietary antioxidants have a significant relationship with GC, which indicates the importance of antioxidants in this cancer's etiology.
To estimate the prognostic relevance of human papillomavirus (HPV) 16 and HPV 18 in patients with cervical cancer.

We searched PubMed, EMBASE, American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), CNKI, and Wanfang databases to search primary articles illustrating the survival outcomes in cervical cancer patients with or without HPV 16/18 infection. A meta-analysis was conducted to generate a combined hazard ratio (HR) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) for progression-free survival (PFS), disease free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS).

A total of 13 studies were included. Our meta-analysis revealed that HPV 16 positive did not have any impact on OS (HR, 0.76; 95% CI = 0.37-1.54; P = 0.44). Cervical cancer patiensts infected with HPV 18 had worse OS (HR, 1.66; 95% CI = 1.28-2.17; P = 0.0001), DFS (HR, 2.10; 95% CI = 1.73-2.54; P < 0.0001) and worse PFS (HR, 2.97; 95% CI = 1.69-5.23; P = 0.00012) compared with those not infected with HPV 18. cervical cancer patiensts infected with HPV 18 had worse PFS compared with those infected with HPV 16 ((HR, 1.34; 95% CI = 1.06-1.70; P = 0.01).

In this CPG, we defined stroke from the perspectives of both CM and Western Medicine, reported corresponding CM treatment options, and carried out evaluation based on levels of evidence and grade of recommendation. Suggested CM interventions include herbal medicine treatment based on pattern differentiation, acupuncture treatment, and nursing care.
