To evaluate the role of dressed chicken in the spread of methicillin-resistant
(MRSA)in Sokoto, Nigeria.

190 chicken carcass rinsates were subjected to culture and biochemical analyses to isolate and identify MRSA. PCR was used to amplify mecA gene that is responsible for methicillin resistance.

Culture and molecular analysis showed 19.5% (37/190) of the rinse had MRSA on oxacillin-resistance screening agar base (ORSAB) with 7.9% (15/190) possessing the mecA gene. Significant association (p = 0.044) exist between local-chicken and presence of MRSA, being twice more likely to have MRSA compared to exotic-chickens (odds ratio [OR]= 2.132). Results indicate possible role of dressed-chicken in the spread of MRSA. Authorities should regulate the sale and use of antibiotics by farmers, and enhance hygienic practices at slaughterhouses.

In this ecological-descriptive study, the health impact of PM10 and PM2.5 associated with there temporal variations in Dezful city were assessed from 2013 to 2015. We used a new method to analysis fine particles feature by using regular daily observations of PM10. In this method, relationship between PM2.5 and PM10 mass concentrations were analyzed and calculated. The annual average concentrations of PM10 were 147.1, 114.3 and 158.8 μg/m3, and the annual average concentration of PM2.5 were 57.8, 50.7 and 58.2 μg/m3 in 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively. PM10 also had obvious diurnal variations with highest hourly concentrations in 1300 and 2200 but the lowest concentrations often occurred in 0500 and 1600. Unexpectedly, in weekends the concentration of PM pollutants appeared to have increased from 1800 to midnight. The daily based analysis showed that there are 147 dusty days in the study period during which the most severe dusty day occurred in 2014. Over the study period, mean levels of PM10 and PM2.5 in both conditions were higher in 2015 compare to 2013 and 2014, which probably is due to higher frequency of dust storms in 2015. Hence, during 2015 and 2013 they're were higher morbidity and mortality compare to 2014 due to exposure to higher polluted air with PMs in all cases except lung cancer (LC).
Meta-analyses have demonstrated cognitive training (CT) benefits in Parkinson's disease (PD) patients. However, the patients' cognitive status has only rarely been based on established criteria. Also, prediction analyses of CT success have only sparsely been conducted.

To determine CT effects in PD patients with mild cognitive impairment (PD-MCI) on cognitive and noncognitive outcomes compared to an active control group (CG) and to analyze CT success predictors.

Sixty-four PD-MCI patients (age 67.61 ± 7.70; UPDRS-III 26.58 ± 13.54; MoCA 24.47 ± 2.78) were randomized to either a CT group or a low-intensity physical activity CG for six weeks (twice weekly, 90 minutes). Outcomes were assessed before and after training. MANOVAs with follow-up ANOVAs and multiple regression analyses were computed.

Both interventions were highly feasible (participation, motivation, and evaluation); the overall dropout rate was 4.7%. Bladder urothelial carcinoma (BLCA) is one of the most common malignancies in urinary system. With the development of next-generation sequencing technology, we intended to investigate prognostic immune cells and related signature to predict the prognosis of BLCA and potential therapeutic targets.

We obtained the transcriptome profiles of 573 BLCA patients from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) databases. The fractions of immune cells in each sample was calculated by "CIBERSORT" algorithm. Tumor Infiltrating Immune Cells Scores (TIICS) was accordingly derived and Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve was conducted to evaluate the predictive efficiency. Moreover, differential analysis was performed between two TIICS groups and hub TIICS-related immune signature was identified. The correlation of key immune genes and immune-infiltrating immune cells was evaluated based on the TIMER database. An Immune Signature Prognostic Index (ISPI) based on these signatures was constructed with superior predictive accuracy. Last, the TIICS model or related immune signature were all validated in an independent cohort from the GSE13507.

The least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (LASSO) algorithm was utilized to screen the 6 hub tumor-infiltrating immune cells in TCGA cohort, where higher infiltrating levels of M0 Macrophages, M2 Macrophages and Neutrophils were hazard factors, while CD8
T cells and memory activated CD4
T cells were protective factors.

Taken together, our study identified several prognostic immune cells and related immune signature in BLCA, shedding insight on the individualized immunotherapy or potential drug targets.
