Postoperative bile leakage a result of intrahepatic air duct injuries in the course of correct hemicolectomy: A case record.
Biomolecular markers have extremely important value for cancer research and treatment. selleck products However, as far as we know, there are still no searchable and predictable resources focusing on multiple classes of RNA molecular markers in cancers. Herein, we developed CRMarker, a manually curated comprehensive repository of cancer RNA markers. In the current release, CRMarker v1.1 consists of 5489 "known" cancer RNA markers based on 8756 valid publications in PubMed, including 2878 mRNAs (genes), 1314 miRNAs, 1097 lncRNAs and 200 circRNAs, and involving two functional molecules (diagnosis and prognosis), 21 organisms and 154 cancers. The search results provided by the database are comprehensive, including 11 items such as RNA molecule expression and risk level, type of tissue or sample, cancer subtype, reference type, etc. Moreover, CRMarker also provides more than 18,000 potential cancer RNA markers, which are predicted based on "guilt-by-association" analysis of the above-mentioned "known" RNA markers and three molecular interaction networks, and survival analysis of 18 gene expression data sets with survival data. CRMarker v1.1 has a friendly interface and is freely available online at http//crmarker.hnnu.edu.cn/. We aim to build a comprehensive platform that is convenient for cancer researchers and clinicians to inquire and retrieve.Fabricating lignin-based carbon nanofibers (LCNFs) with the lignin in spent coffee grounds (SCG) as raw material which are disposed as waste amounting to millions tons annual is benefit to promote economy and environmental protection. However, due to the heterogeneity and complex three-dimensional structure, the mechanic property is very poor. In this study, we propose a fractionating pretreatment method to overcome the above problems by regulating the structure of SCG lignin in which high-performance LCNFs were fabricated. On one hand, the linear structure of SCG lignin was optimized to fit the raw material of LCNFs by tuning the content of β-O-4 and C5-substituted condensed phenolic compounds. On the other hand, the carboxyl as the hydrophilic groups was removed so as to promote the mixing of lignin and polyacrylonitrile (PAN, blending agent) in organic solvents. Additionally, the heterogeneity was reduced by screening large molecular weight SCG lignin with low polydispersity index (PDI). Fortunately, with 11 mass ratio of the above fractionated lignin and PAN as substrate, the LCNFs could reach to comparable mechanic properties with those of pure PAN CNFs. This work can provide a new way to not only promote the utilization of SCG lignin but also accelerate the development of LCNFs.A basic sPLA2 (D49) from the venom of snake Agkistrodon piscivorus leucostoma (AplTX-II) was isolated, purified and characterized. We determined the enzymatic and pharmacological profiles of this toxin. AplTX-II was isolated with a high level of purity through reverse phase chromatography and molecular exclusion. The enzyme showed pI 9.48 and molecular weight of 14,003 Da. The enzymatic activity of the AplTX-II depended on Ca2+ pH and temperature. The comparison of the primary structure with other sPLA2s revealed that AplTX-II presented all the structural reasons expected for a basic sPLA2s. Additionally, we have resolved its structure with the docked synthetic substrate NOBA (4-nitro-3-octanoyloxy benzoic acid) by homology modeling, and performed MD simulations with explicit solvent. Structural similarities were found between the enzyme's modeled structure and other snake sPLA2 X-Ray structures, available in the PDB database. NOBA and active-site water molecules spontaneously adopted stable positions and established interactions in full agreement with the reaction mechanism, proposed for the physiological substrate, suggesting that NOBA hydrolysis is an excellent model to study phospholipid hydrolysis.Salt hydrate phase change materials (PCMs) possess the challenge of supercooling, which must be addressed to allow more efficient energy storage and utilisation. In this work, cellulose nanofibril (CNF), a versatile biopolymer was used to support and disperse silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), and the synthesised CNF/AgNPs composite was used to improve the performance of sodium acetate trihydrate (SAT). Results showed that CNF dispersed the AgNPs uniformly and prevented their aggregation. Through the synergistic effect of 1% CNF/AgNPs and 2% sodium phosphate dibasic dodecahydrate, a low supercooling degree of 1.2 °C was achieved. Moreover, AgNPs were uniformly distributed in the prepared PCM composite. Differential scanning calorimetry results indicated that the prepared PCM@CNF/AgNPs 0.02 composite showed a similar melting point (57.4 °C) and enthalpy (269 kJ/kg), compared to those of pure SAT. Thermogravimetric analysis showed that the PCM composite did not lose all moisture until a heating temperature of 160 °C, showing improved thermal stability. The thermal conductivity of PCM@CNF/AgNPs 0.02 composite was 31.6% higher than that of SAT. The enthalpy of this composite decreased only around 2% after 100 melting/freezing cycles, showing satisfying thermal reliability. This composite can therefore be used to fabricate high-performance TES systems with negligible supercooling and improved thermal properties.Cytochrome c (cyt c), in addition to its function as an electron shuttle in respiratory chain, is able to perform as a pseudo-peroxidase with a critical role during apoptosis. Incubation of cyt c with an excess of hydrogen peroxide leads to a suicide inactivation of the protein, which is accompanied by heme destruction and covalent modification of numerous amino acid residues. Although steady-state reactions of cyt c with an excess of hydrogen peroxide represent non-physiological conditions, they might be used for analysis of the first-modified amino acid in in vivo. Here, we observed oxidation of tyrosine residues 67 and 74 and heme as the first modifications found upon incubation with hydrogen peroxide. The positions of the oxidized tyrosines suggest a possible migration pathway of hydrogen peroxide-induced radicals from the site of heme localization to the protein surface. Analysis of a size of folded fraction of cyt c upon limited incubation with hydrogen peroxide indicates that the early oxidation of amino acids triggers an accelerated destruction of cyt c.
