The use of 18-beta glycyrrhetinic acid cream can be helpful in managing symptoms and condition of rosacea skin, especially in the management of erythema.Flexible electronics require its substrate to have adequate thermal stability, but current thermally stable polymer substrates are difficult to be disintegrated and recycled; hence, generate enormous electronic solid waste. Here, a thermally stable and green solvent-disintegrable polymer substrate is developed for flexible electronics to promote their recyclability and reduce solid waste generation. Thanks to the proper design of rigid backbones and rational adjustments of polar and bulky side groups, the polymer substrate exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical properties with thermal decomposition temperature (Td,5% ) of 430 °C, upper operating temperature of over 300 °C, coefficient of thermal expansion of 48 ppm K-1 , tensile strength of 103 MPa, and elastic modulus of 2.49 GPa. Furthermore, the substrate illustrates outstanding optical and dielectric properties with high transmittance of 91% and a low dielectric constant of 2.30. Additionally, it demonstrates remarkable chemical and flame resistance. A proof-of-concept flexible printed circuit device is fabricated with this substrate, which demonstrates outstanding mechanical-electrical stability. Most importantly, the substrate can be quickly disintegrated and recycled with alcohol. With outstanding thermally stable properties, accompanied by excellent recyclability, the substrate is particularly attractive for a wide range of electronics to reduce solid waste generation, and head toward flexible and "green" electronics.
The COVID-19 pandemic restricted usual healthcare management for movement-disorders patients, with a consequent upsurge in telemedicine to bridge the gap.
To assess global telemedicine usage in the context of the pandemic.
The Movement Disorder Society (MDS) Telemedicine Study Group surveyed telemedicine experts from 40 countries across all continents in March-April 2020. Four domains of telemedicine were assessed legal regulations, reimbursement, clinical use, and barriers; comparing emerging responses to the pandemic versus the baseline scenario.
All forms of telemedicine for movement disorders increased globally, irrespective of country income categorization, as an immediate response to the pandemic. This was aided by widespread availability of technology and updated government regulations. However, privacy concerns, lack of reimbursement, limited access, and lack of telemedicine training were barriers highlighted worldwide.
Questions remain about the longevity and extent of changes in regulations and reimbursement regarding telemedicine in the aftermath of the pandemic. © 2020 International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.

The short Synacthen test is widely used to assess the hypothalamus pituitary adrenal axis in the outpatient setting. In the inpatient setting however, technical difficulties to adhere to the protocol may pose a challenge for using this test.
In this study we attempted to find the most suitable basal serum cortisol cutoff for predicting an adequate response to the short Synacthen test in non-critically inpatients without conducting the actual test .
Information was retrieved retrospectively from medical files of 197 patients who had had a 250 mcg short Synacthen test between the years 2000-2016 at the Shaare Zedek Medical Center. Basal serum cortisol, electrolytes, creatinine, TSH, blood counts as well as blood pressure values were evaluated for a correlation with the results of the short Synacthen test.
A basal serum cortisol cutoff of 280 nmol/l provides a negative predictive value of 94% for adrenal insufficiency. Using a cutoff of 380 nmol/l increases the sensitivity to 96% and yields a negative prff (280 nmoll) for patients with a low level of suspicion for adrenal insufficiency and using the higher cutoff (380 nmoll) for patients with a higher level of suspicion. A basal serum cortisol above this cutoff makes the diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency very unlikely and precludes the need for a Synacthen test. This article is protected by copyright. In this work it is demonstrated that secondary coordination sphere motifs can be applied to trigger a radical change in the electronic structure of copper complexes with a redox-active guanidine ligand through ligand-metal IET. Hence, crown ether functions attached to the ligand allow the manipulation of the degree of IET between the guanidine ligand and the copper atom through metal encapsulation.Kopsinitarines A-E are complex octacyclic caged Kopsia alkaloids with strained cage skeletons and a unique cyclic hemiaminal bridge that makes total synthesis challenging. Herein, we disclose the first total synthesis of kopsinitarine E. The key synthetic features include a SmI2 -mediated radical cascade cyclization and a subsequent semi-pinacol rearrangement to install the key carbocyclic skeleton, a chemoselective hydrosilyl amide reduction to construct the hemiaminal ether bridge, and an intramolecular Mannich reaction to establish the highly strained cage system.
Isomer metabolites are involved in metabolic pathways, and their characterization is essential but remains challenging even using high-performance analytical platforms. The addition of ion mobility prior to mass analysis can help to separate isomers. Here, the ability of a recently developed trapped ion mobility spectrometry system to separate metabolite isomers was examined.
Three pairs of estrogen isomers were studied as a model of isomeric metabolites under both negative and positive electrospray ionization (ESI) modes using a commercial trapped ion mobility spectrometry-TOF mass spectrometer. The standard metabolites were also spiked into human urine to evaluate the efficiency of trapped ion mobility spectrometry to separate isomers in complex mixtures.
The estradiol glucuronide isomers (E
β-3G and E
β-17G) could be distinguished as deprotonated species, while the estradiol epimers (E
β and E
α) and the methoxyestradiol isomers (2-MeO-E
β and 4-MeO-E
β) were separated as lithiated adducts in positive ionization mode.
