Abdominoplasty is one of the most common cosmetic surgeries performed worldwide. Seroma is also the most common local complication associated with abdominoplasty, which increases care costs, reduces patient satisfaction, and has serious complications for patients. Results of previous studies report different levels of seroma prevalence after abdominoplasty. The aim of this study is to standardize the statistics of the prevalence of seroma after abdominoplasty using meta-analysis.
In this systematic review and meta-analysis study, data from studies conducted on the global prevalence of seroma after abdominoplasty was extracted using the keywords "Prevalence, Epidemiology, Complications, Abdominoplasty, Seroma, and Lipo abdominoplasty" in the databases of Science, Scientific Information Database, MagIran, Embase, Scopus, PubMed, Web of Science, and Google Scholar search engine without time limit until October 2020. Patients with advanced high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) are usually treated with paclitaxel and carboplatin; however, predictive markers for this drug combination are unknown.
Tumor samples from 71 consecutive HGSOC patients, who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy with paclitaxel and carboplatin, were subjected to molecular analysis.
BRCA1/2 germline mutation carriers (n = 22) had longer treatment-free interval (TFI) than non-carriers (n = 49) (9.5months vs. 3.8months; P = 0.007). Fifty-one HGSOCs had sufficient quality of tumor DNA for the next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis by the SeqCap EZ CNV/LOH Backbone Design panel. All 13 tumors obtained from BRCA1/2 germline mutation carriers and 12 sporadic HGSOCs showed a high number of evenly spread chromosomal breaks, which was defined as a BRCAness phenotype; median TFI for this combined group approached 9.5months. The remaining 26 HGSOCs had similarly high global LOH score (above 20%); however, in contrast to BRCAness tumors, LOH involved large chromosomal segments; these patients had significantly lower TFI (3.7months; P = 0.006). All patients with CCNE1 amplification (n = 7), TP53 R175H substitution (n = 6), and RB1 mutation (n = 4) had poor response to paclitaxel plus carboplatin.
This study describes a cost-efficient method of detecting the BRCAness phenotype, which is compatible with the laboratory-scale NGS equipment. Some molecular predictors allow the identification of potential non-responders to paclitaxel plus carboplatin, who may need to be considered for other treatment options.

Limited information is available regarding the drug-drug interaction (DDI) potential of molecular targeted agents and rituximab plus cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin (hydroxydaunorubicin), vincristine (Oncovin), and prednisone (R-CHOP) therapy. The addition of the Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibitor ibrutinib to R-CHOP therapy results in increased toxicity versus R-CHOP alone, including higher incidence of peripheral neuropathy. Vincristine is a substrate of P-glycoprotein (P-gp, ABCB1); drugs that inhibit P-gp could potentially cause increased toxicity when co-administered with vincristine through DDI. While the combination of the BTK inhibitor acalabrutinib and R-CHOP is being explored clinically, the DDI potential between these therapies is unknown.
A human mechanistic physiology-based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model of vincristine following intravenous dosing was developed to predict potential DDI interactions with combination therapy. From June 2016 to December 2018, 73 patients suspected of having coronary artery disease who underwent CCTA followed invasive coronary angiography (ICA) within 1 month were retrospectively included. ΔFFR

Here, we have evaluated metal immobilization in a maize field polluted with cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) to determine the thresholds of soil CaCl2-extractable Cd and Pb and to assess management options designed to maximize food safety. Based on geographical and statistical methods we found that when the soil pH was increased from 5.24 to 6.24, the soil CaCl2-extractable Cd and Pb values decreased by 47.8 and 74.7%, respectively. Soil CaCl2-extractable Pb concentrations need to be less then 2.14 mg kg-1 in order to comply with the Chinese maximum permissible grain Pb concentration ( less then 0.2 mg kg-1). Immobilization increased the percentage of samples that were below permissible levels from 77.4% to 96.2% (grain Cd) and 90.6% to 96.2% (grain Pb) during the period 2017 to 2019. To avoid excessive or inadequacy immobilization, the spatial distribution of correlation coefficients of soil pH, CaCl2-extractable or grain Cd/Pb may be helpful in the precise management of immobilization for long-term remediation.
