The combination of the metadevice and SLR-based FSE offers a promising alternative for MR investigations that require scanning in a "Low-SAR" regime such as those for children, pregnant women, and patients with implanted devices.Toll-like receptors (TLRs) are a potential target for cancer immunotherapy due to their role in the activation of the innate immune system. More specifically, TLR7 and TLR8, two structurally similar pattern recognition receptors that trigger interferon and cytokine responses, have proven to be therapeutically relevant targets for cancer in numerous preclinical and clinical studies. When triggered by an agonist, such as imiquimod or resiquimod, the TLR7/8 activation pathway induces cellular and humoral immune responses that can kill cancer cells with high specificity. Unfortunately, TLR7/8 agonists also present a number of issues that must be overcome prior to broad clinical implementation, such as poor drug solubility and systemic toxic effects. To overcome the key limitations of TLR7/8 agonists as a cancer therapy, biomaterial-based drug delivery systems have been developed. These delivery devices are highly diverse in their design and include systems that can be directly administered to the tumor, passively accumulated in relevant cancerous and lymph tissues, triggered by environmental stimuli, or actively targeted to specific physiological areas and cellular populations. In addition to improved delivery systems, recent studies have also demonstrated the potential benefits of TLR7/8 agonist co-delivery with other types of therapies, particularly checkpoint inhibitors, cancer vaccines, and chemotherapeutics, which can yield impressive anti-cancer effects. In this review, we discuss recent advances in the development of TLR7/8 agonist delivery systems and provide perspective on promising future directions.
The concept of personality functioning (Alternative DSM-5 Model of Personality Disorders) has led to increased interest in dimensional personality disorder diagnosis. While differing markedly from the current categorical classification, it is closely related to the psychodynamic concepts of personality structure and personality organization. In this review, the three dimensional approaches, their underlying models, and common instruments are introduced, and empirical studies on similarities and differences between the concepts and the categorical classification are summarized. Additionally, a case example illustrates the clinical application.

F]Fluoro-deoxy-glucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography (FDG-PET/CT) is used for response assessment during therapy in Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) and non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL). Clinicians report the scans visually using Deauville criteria. Improved performance in modern PET/CT scanners could allow for a reduction in scan time without compromising diagnostic image quality. Additionally, patient throughput can be increased with increasing cost-effectiveness. We investigated the effects of reducing scan time of response assessment FDG-PET/CT in HL and NHL patients on Deauville score (DS) and image quality.
Twenty patients diagnosed with HL/NHL referred to a response assessment FDG-PET/CT were included. PET scans were performed in list-mode with an acquisition time of 120 s per bed position(s/bp). From PET list-mode data images with full acquisition time of 120 s/bp and shorter acquisition times (90, 60, 45, and 30 s/bp) were reconstructed. All images were assessed by two specialists and assigned a DS. We estimated the possible savings when reducing scan time using a simplified model based on assumed values/costs for our hospital.
There were no significant changes in the visually assessed DS when reducing scan time to 90 s/bp, 60 s/bp, 45 s/bp, and 30 s/bp. Image quality of 90 s/bp images were rated equal to 120 s/bp images. Coefficient of variance values for 120 s/bp and 90 s/bp images was significantly < 15%. The estimated annual savings to the hospital when reducing scan time was 8000-16,000 €/scanner.

Gallium 68-tetraazacyclododecane-tetraacetic acid-octreotate ([68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE) is a selective somatostatin analogue ligand, which shows increased affinity for somatostatin receptor subtype (SSTR) 2 and has been used routinely for imaging neuroendocrine tumors with PET/CT. We investigated the utility of [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) in patients with suspected pituitary pathology. We reviewed imaging for twenty consecutive patients (8 men, 12 women, mean age of 48.2, range 14-78) with suspected pituitary pathology who were referred for [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE PET/CT.
Nine patients presented with recurrent Cushing's syndrome following surgical resection of pituitary adenomas due to recurrent Cushing's disease (seven patients) and ectopic ACTH secreting tumor (2 patients). All seven patients with recurrent Cushing's disease showed positive pituitary [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE uptake while both cases of ectopic hormonal secretion had absented pituitary uptake. In 1 of these to high pituitary activity. In addition, in Cushing's syndrome, [68Ga]Ga-DOTA-TATE is useful for detection of ectopic sources of ACTH production, especially where anatomic imaging is negative.

To estimate the nationwide, longitudinal prevalence and incidence rates and assess treatment patterns of non-infectious uveitis (NIU) in Japan.
A retrospective study.
Health insurance claims' data of patients with NIU were extracted from the Japan Medical Data Center (JMDC) database and analyzed descriptively (data extraction period, January 2011 to May 2017). BSJ-4-116 ic50 Behçet's disease (BD), Vogt-Koyanagi-Harada (VKH) disease, and sarcoidosis were selected as the primary diseases of NIU.
From 2011 to 2016, the mean and median age of patients increased. Most (> 90%) patients were categorized as "undifferentiated NIU" (NIU without specific primary disease information after excluding BD-, VKH disease-, and sarcoidosis-associated NIU). Over 60% of patients with NIU were treated at non-hospital clinics, while the rest were treated at university, public, or other hospitals. The estimated prevalence rate of NIU was 386.5 per 100,000 persons (95% confidence interval [CI], 374.5-398.6) in 2011 and 439.3 per 100,000 persons (95% CI, 432.3-446.3) in 2016; the estimated incidence rate was 189.7 per 100,000 persons (95% CI, 181.2-198.5) in 2012 and 207.8 per 100,000 persons (95% CI, 202.2-213.5) in 2016. Most patients' prescribed uveitis drugs were ophthalmic drops over the first 6months after patient presentation and entry into the JMDC database, followed by systemic corticosteroids.

One of the most noted ones is the unicellular green alga, Oophila amblystomatis, but the occurrence and role of other micro-organisms in the capsular chamber surrounding amphibian clutches have remained largely unstudied. Here, we undertook a multi-marker DNA metabarcoding study to characterize the community of algae and other micro-eukaryotes associated with agile frog (Rana dalmatina) clutches. Samplings were performed at three small ponds in Germany, from four substrates water, sediment, tree leaves from the bottom of the pond, and R. dalmatina clutches. Sampling substrate strongly determined the community compositions of algae and other micro-eukaryotes. Therefore, as expected, the frog clutch-associated communities formed clearly distinct clusters. Clutch-associated communities in our study were structured by a plethora of not only green algae, but also diatoms and other ochrophytes. The most abundant operational taxonomic units (OTUs) in clutch samples were taxa from Chlamydomonas, Oophila, but also from Nitzschia and other ochrophytes. link2 Sequences of Oophila "Clade B" were found exclusively in clutches. Based on additional phylogenetic analyses of 18S rDNA and of a matrix of 18 nuclear genes derived from transcriptomes, we confirmed in our samples the existence of two distinct clades of green algae assigned to Oophila in past studies. We hypothesize that "Clade B" algae correspond to the true Oophila, whereas "Clade A" algae are a series of Chlorococcum species that, along with other green algae, ochrophytes and protists, colonize amphibian clutches opportunistically and are often cultured from clutch samples due to their robust growth performance. link3 The clutch-associated communities were subject to filtering by sampling location, suggesting that the taxa colonizing amphibian clutches can drastically differ depending on environmental conditions.
