These themes, along with subthemes, are presented in this report. This is the first time that QI as a qualitative method has been used to examine ADHD assessment waiting timeframes. The findings from this study will be used to guide the development of future improvement initiatives within CAMHS. This could include rethinking the way that waiting lists are managed as well as ways in which children and young people can be more effectively supported while waiting for an appointment to be assessed. The results of this research will also inform the future commissioning and delivery of an adolescent and child ADHD assessment service nationally.
