2%). In total, 30 (25%) patients were diagnosed as having cephalosporin hypersensitivity. Confirmation of HRs was also significantly more frequent among patients who were older (p 0.000), who had taken the drug parenterally (p 0.000) and with immediate reactions (p 0.000).

Cephalosporin allergy has been confirmed in approximately one-fourth of the patients evaluated for suspected cephalosporin allergy. Confirmation of HRs was significantly more common among patients who were older, had immediate reactions, and had taken the drug parenterally.

Subcutaneous allergen-specific immunotherapy (SCIT) is one of the main cornerstones in the treatment of allergic rhinitis in pediatric patients. It has demonstrated symptoms and quality of life improvement, but it is not exempt from adverse reactions (ADVrs). LY364947 nmr Nevertheless, there are a few reports that have evaluated their safety. Our objective was to evaluate the ADVr to SCIT in pediatric patients.

We reviewed 786 clinical records with SCIT from 2005 to 2018, comparing the clinical characteristics of patients with ADVrs with SCIT versus a group of a similar number of patients who completed SCIT (control group, CG). The analysis of ADVrs was according to the World Allergy Organization (WAO) 2010 grading system by frequency analysis, survival curve, and log rank.

Of 786 patients, 106 (13.4%) presented ADVrs, and the patients with ADVr had sensitivity and immunotherapy with at least 2 allergens versus CG p < 0.001, containing a combination of standardized and nonstandardized allergens (p = 0.003). The ADVrs were in the buildup phase (p < 0.001). The survival curve showed that 50% had some reaction at 12 weeks of SCIT. The most frequent ADVr was grade 1 in 73/106 patients (68.8%) and grade 2 in 33/106 (31.1%). The log-rank analysis between the grades of the WAO grading system showed a statistically significant difference (p = 0.02).

The SCIT is safe in pediatric patients. The ADVrs are infrequent, grade 1 being the most reported; however, at >12 weeks, the risk of ADVrs that involve 2 organs systems increases.

Descriptive psychopathology (DP, sometimes called psychopathology or phenomenology) is the language of psychiatry and is dedicated to the description of mental symptoms. Due to its importance, there is an ongoing case to put it back at the heart of psychiatry and its training. This study seeks to examine the literature on how to train psychiatry residents in DP, including reported educational interventions and educational methods.

The authors conducted a systematic review following the PRISMA and BEME guidelines to identify literature on how to train psychiatry residents in DP. link2 In May 2019, they searched in Embase, ERIC, PsycINFO, PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science; of 7,199 initial results, 26 sources were finally included for analysis. The assessment tools were the CRAAP test, Kirkpatrick's 4 levels, and (when applicable) the Medical Education Research Study Quality Instrument (MERSQI).

The mean CRAAP score was 38.885 of a possible 50 (SD 0.983; range 36.859-40.910). Fourteen sources (53.8%) had some and a series of neglected contents. Finally, the combined use of the CRAAP test and the MERSQI may be useful for future systematic reviews in medical education.
Despite its core importance as the language of psychiatry, the literature about training psychiatry residents in DP is scarce and heterogeneous. General lack of training evaluation and ongoing overemphasis on Kirkpatrick's levels 1-2 at the expense of levels 3-4 are causes for concern. During the review process, the authors identified a selection of educational interventions that could serve as the basis for the design of new training efforts in both clinical and nonclinical settings. Topics for future research are also suggested, such as the role of DP in competency-based training frameworks now in vogue and a series of neglected contents. Finally, the combined use of the CRAAP test and the MERSQI may be useful for future systematic reviews in medical education.By combining transcriptomic data with other data sources, inferences can be made about functional changes during ageing. Thus, we conducted a meta-analysis on 127 publicly available microarray and RNA-Seq datasets from mice, rats and humans, identifying a transcriptomic signature of ageing across species and tissues. Analyses on subsets of these datasets produced transcriptomic signatures of ageing for brain, heart and muscle. We then applied enrichment analysis and machine learning to functionally describe these signatures, revealing overexpression of immune and stress response genes and underexpression of metabolic and developmental genes. Further analyses revealed little overlap between genes differentially expressed with age in different tissues, despite ageing differentially expressed genes typically being widely expressed across tissues. Additionally we show that the ageing gene expression signatures (particularly the overexpressed signatures) of the whole meta-analysis, brain and muscle tend to include genes that are central in protein-protein interaction networks. We also show that genes underexpressed with age in the brain are highly central in a co-expression network, suggesting that underexpression of these genes may have broad phenotypic consequences. In sum, we show numerous functional similarities between the ageing transcriptomes of these important tissues, along with unique network properties of genes differentially expressed with age in both a protein-protein interaction and co-expression networks.
Inadequate endometrial receptivity contributes to recurrent implantation failure (RIF) during IVF-embryo transfer. Though multiple circRNAs have been confirmed differentially expression in RIF, the potential function of novel circRNAs needed to be detected.

The top ten DEcircRNAs were selected as initial candidates. A ceRNA network was conducted on the basis of circRNA-miRNA-mRNA potential interaction, consisting of 10 DEcircRNAs, 28 DEmiRNAs and 59 DEmRNAs. Three down-regulation circRNAs with high degree of connectivity were verified by RT-qPCR, and results suggested that only hsa_circ_0038383 was significantly downregulation in RIF compared with control group. Subsequently, three hub genes (HOXA3, HOXA9 and PBX1) were identified as hub genes. Ultimately, a subnetwork was determined based on one DEcircRNA (hsa_circ_0038383), two DEmiRNAs (has-miR-196b-5p and has-miR-424-5p), and three DEmRNAs (HOXA3, HOXA9 and PBX1). Following verification, hsa_circ_0038383/miR-196b-5p/HOXA9 axis may be a key pathway in affecting RIF.

In summary, a hsa_circ_0038383-mediated ceRNA network related to RIF was proposed. This network provided new insight into exploring potential biomarkers for diagnosis and clinical treatment of RIF.

We retrieved the expression profiles of RIF from GEO databases (circRNA, microRNA and mRNA) and constructed a competing endogenous RNAs (ceRNA) network based on predicted circRNA-miRNA and miRNA-mRNA pairs. The expression levels of three hub DEcircRNAs identified by cytoscape were validated by RT-qPCR.

DEACMP rats were randomly assigned into DEACMP group and intervention group. A control goup was also set. The rats in intervention group received intraperitoneal injection of 100uM suramin (a P2Y12 receptor antagonist). In control group, the escape latency, level of microglia activation and ATP content were similar between different time points. In both DEACMP group and intervention group, the escape latency, level of microglia activation and ATP content were significanlty increased at 21th and 28th day. The hippocampal cells in DEACMP group and intervention group were severely and moderately, respectively, damaged at 21th and 28th day. Meanwhile, compared to control group, both DEACMP group and intervention group had significanlty longer escape latency, higher level of microglia activation and ATP content at 21th and 28th day. Compared to DEACMP group, the intervention group had significantly shorter escape latency and lower level of microglia activation at 21th and 28th day. These results suggested that the microglia activation regulated by ATP through P2Y12 receptor pathway might be closely related to the development of DEACMP.
The aim Complex analysis of theoretical and practical aspects of study of mental derangement as a mandatory element of limited sanity and development of new approaches to such state's assessment.

Materials and methods An analysis of criminal legislation and researches made by scientists from Brazil, Denmark, Great Britain, Portugal and the USA concerning mental derangements of persons who committed crimes and were considered as having limited sanity, publications in mass media, analytical materials, judicial practice (with the purpose to define certain types of crimes and types of mental derangements of such group of people) has been made. For comparison analysis within the framework of study of problems of mental derangement as a mandatory element of limited sanity 1422 court verdicts were selected from Unified Register of Court Rulings of Ukraine (as of August 2020) concerning persons who committed criminal offences under circumstances which allow to consider such persons as having limited sanity. The mental derangement and considered as having limited sanity it is necessary to develop correlation programs with certain schemes of treatment, separate categories of people in need of psychiatric help, relevant financing and coordination mechanisms for interaction between the law enforcement bodies and local governance.
The aim of the article is to analyze the reasoning of the Supreme Court of California in Sindell v. link3 Abbott Laboratories.

Materials and methods Materials of the study encompass US case law as well as case law of other countries concerning compensation of damage caused by defective drugs and other cases of uncertain causation. The survey is conducted within the framework of comparative law studies. In addition, elements of law and economics approach are also employed in the paper.

Conclusions Case of Sindell v. Abbott Laboratories has launched a new direction in discourse on causation in tort law and product liability. The mathematical elegance of the Court's theory is that net burden of liability borne by a particular drug manufacturer is equal to the amount of damage actually caused by its drug.
